About this ebook
Moore Zombies Chapter Book #1
When Broheimer tells his siblings there is going to be a blood moon, they are excited. Gothina decides to make a picnic out of it, but finds they don’t have enough tomatoes. With Baby Zom and Kamper tagging along, the kids take the Moorevette out for a ride. What follows is a fun adventure including a quest for tomatoes, an encounter with a scarecrow, and an empty campsite which might belong to zombie hunters. Thanks to Broheimer, the kids come to understand how and why the blood moon occurs. Grab a tomato slushy and find out if the Moores will be able to view this amazing sight without being discovered by humans!

Moore Zombies - Wendy Knuth
Chapter 1
An Amazing Sight
If you think that zombies don’t really exist, you are dead wrong. In a small town, maybe somewhere near you, lives the Moore family of zombies. From youngest to oldest, the children are Baby Zom, Kamper, Broheimer, and Gothina.
Today, the kids are playing in their backyard. Baby Zom is holding on tightly to Kamper as he climbs a tree.
Broheimer is busy working on his telescope.
What’s up Broheimer?
asks Gothina.
Broheimer responds matter-of-factly, Actually, the sky is. That is why I am working on my telescope. I want everything to be just right.
Just right for what?
questions Gothina.
Well,
says Broheimer, There is going to be an amazing sight in the sky tonight.
Kamper sits down on a branch with Baby Zom still clinging to his back. Suddenly, he swings upside down by his knees and yells, Boo!
Kamper is always trying to scare his siblings.

Did I scare you?
asks Kamper as he dangles from the tree.

answers Gothina. She looks down and sees an insect crawling out from underneath a rock. She picks it up.
Look!
Gothina exclaims, I found a neat looking pill bug.
What’s a pill bug?
asks Kamper.
Gothina replies, "It’s a bug that rolls up into a ball to protect itself when it feels
