About this ebook
Finding a new home has never been so dangerous.
Andromeda has spent all seventeen years of her life aboard a deep space transport vessel destined for a paradise planet. Her safe cocoon is about to break open as Paradise 21 looms only one month away, and she must take the aptitude tests to determine her role on the new world and her computer
assigned lifemate. As a great-granddaughter of the Commander of the ship, she wants to live up to her family name. But, her forbidden love for her childhood friend, Sirius, distracts her and she fails the tests. The results place her in a menial role in the new colony and pair her with Corvus, “the oaf”.
But when Andromeda steps foot on Paradise 21, her predestined future is the least of her worries. Alien ghosts from a failed colonization warn her of a deadly threat to her colony. And when Sirius's ship crashes on the far ridge in an attempt to investigate, she journeys to rescue him with Corvus.
Andromeda now must convince the authorities of the imminent danger to protect her new home. What she didn't expect was a battle of her own feelings for Sirius and Corvus.
Can she save the colony and discover her true love?

Reviews for Colonization

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5As the New Dawn's generations-long journey through space comes to an end,so is the world as Andromeda knows it. Paradise 21 is the promise of hope and new beginning, but Andromeda dreads it, especially when her future life mate is not the guy she envisioned. She wanted it to be her best friend, Sirius, so being paired with Corvus, whom she barely knows, is another challenge she must face, along with being assigned her role amongst the crew. Paradise 21 is not the safe haven its name suggests and their new homeland is filled with dangers. Through them, Andromeda learns whom she can trust as she navigates through an unknown planet filled with alien ghosts.Colonization has it all. A well-crafted story with a richly developed world. The combination of love story and sci-fi made this story very unique. I loved the characters, especially Corvus, and found Andromeda's growth heartening and endearing. All in all, this was an inventive, imaginative, and thoroughly enjoyable read.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/53.5The colony ship New Dawn has been traveling in space for centuries. One of many ships bound for various planets the inhabitants of New Dawn lost contact with the other colonists long ago. They may well be the only humans left from a doomed world and they need to make it Paradise 21 and not just survive, but thrive.Like the colonists before her, Andromeda Barliss has spent her whole life on board the ship. However, unlike those that came before her, at age 17, she will be landing on Paradise 21 and making it her new home. Whether she wants to or not. Annie would rather stay on board the ship than go out onto a strange new world and build a new life. When she gets her work assignment she’s happy she’ll be working with her mom, but very unhappy when she doesn’t get her best friend Sirius as her lifemate. What will she do? Is the planet as safe as they’d been told all those centuries ago? What about her Grandma Tiff telling her she would save the colony? What’s up with that? Annie is about to find out many things about her fellow colonists, Paradise 21, her lifemate and, most of all, about herself. This is a great sci-fi story, well-written with an interesting plot and well-fleshed characters. I found Annie to be a bit of a whiner, but she gets herself together by the end. I’m curious to see where this series is heading and I’m going to look into Dionne’s A New Dawn series since they seem to be loosely tied into the Paradise Reclaimed series.*Many thanks to Inkspell Publishing for providing me with a review copy.
