About this ebook

Jill Anderson was once the bored trophy wife of a rich and powerful corporate businessman. All the money in the world did nothing to alleviate the boredom of her tedious life. Gambling in the local casino eventually filled the void in her lonely life and the attention she lacked from her hardworking husband. Fed up with her actions, he divorced her, forcing her to work in one of the sleaziest bars in town. And to make matters worse, one night after work she was attacked and beaten in the parking lot. With no one left to turn to, she was forced to call upon the only two men who seemed to care about her. When she met Saxton and Bear for the first time, she knew they were honorable men who could help her get her life back in order. Jill just didn’t trust herself to not fall in love with the two rowdy bikers who would eventually steal her heart and win her over.

Saxton and Bear were members of one of the roughest MC clubs around. No one messed with the pair if they knew what was good for them. Saxton lived life to the fullest, enjoying the freedom he got from his bike and a warm, willing woman. He never expected to meet Jill, the woman who would knock his socks off. His best friend Bear was one of the largest men in the club; men feared him, and women adored his tender heart. All Bear ever wanted was to find a woman he and Sax could see themselves settling down with one day.

It would take a lot for Saxton and Bear to win over her heart, but they both knew she was worth the fight.

    Chapter One

What the fuck happened, Jill? Who did this to you? Saxton stood over her as she lay on her side, curled up in a ball on the mattress on the floor. Her ribs were sore and she found it hard to take a deep breath after getting the shit kicked out of her. Karma was a bitch and she was tired of finding out the hard way in life.

Jill Anderson was at one of the lowest points of her life, and wouldn’t have thought things could get any worse for her. That was, until she left work early that morning from the club she served cocktails at. Normally one of the doormen walked the girls to their cars after a night shift, but tonight Jill had been anxious to get home and didn’t wait for Dan to escort her to her piece of shit car. As she rounded the brick wall of The Naughty Temptress Club, someone grabbed her from behind and tossed her to the ground. Before she could get a good look at her assailant, she got kicked square in the face and then in the gut over and over.

As she was on the ground, the guy had dug his boot into her back, keeping her down. Don’t you fuckin’ move, slut. And if you scream, I’ll slit your throat. His raspy tone made it obvious he’d deliberately changed his voice. She wasn’t ready to die, so she kept her head down, but she got a good look at the distinctive tattoo on his hand as he grabbed her purse.

Jill heard a car start up and take off. The asshole had grabbed her purse and keys and taken off in her car with tonight’s tips. Money she couldn’t afford to lose. She had the worst luck ever. Life was paying her back for all the pain she had caused her family and friends.

I was mugged after work. She tried to sit up and face Saxton and Bear, but her ribs were still sore from being kicked. Her knees and hands had scrapes and scratches on them from skidding on the ground. It even hurt to bend her knees as she tried to sit up.

Before she knew it, Bear shot to his knees and placed his hand on her thighs, looking her in the eyes. Where does it hurt, sugar? I don’t want you to move a muscle.

Jill patted his hand. I’ll be fine—

My doctor says she has a few bruised ribs. There was a voice from the doorway and her boss, Linc, strode into the room. She’ll have a shiner because the fucker got a good kick to her face when she was down on the ground. I took her off the schedule for the next few weeks so she can recover and get some rest.

Sax let out a sigh. What do you know so far?

After a customer heard her cries and screams from where she laid on the ground, my bouncers were quickly notified of her attack. One of the security guys carried her inside the club and had her looked at by my private on-call doctor. Once the doctor allowed her to leave, I made sure she got home safe and sound. Since the attacker had her purse and driver’s license, I wasn’t comfortable leaving her alone for the time being.

Jill looked to Bear and saw his jaw clench in anger. She watched him pace back and forth as he listened to Linc talk.

I may be a bastard, but I protect the girls who work for me. I wasn’t about to leave Jill alone knowing that guy could show up here at any time. That’s why I had Jill call you two. I’m not able to convince her to leave, maybe stay in a motel for a few days. He crossed his arms over his wide chest and nodded at her. This one’s a stubborn one. She won’t take my advice, and insists she is fine here by herself.

Hell no, you aren’t staying here alone while some fucker has your driver’s license. He could show up here at any time and kill you. Saxton’s eyes blazed with fire as his fists clenched at his side.

Jill maneuvered her legs around Bear’s thick thighs, trying to stand up. Once she was off the mattress, she felt a little lightheaded and braced her hand on Bear’s shoulder for support. Bear stood and pulled her to his side to hold her up.

Whoa there, he said. Easy now.

The doctor gave her a pain pill for her discomfort. She looks to be a little dizzy still, Linc observed.

Where do you think you’re going? Saxton asked her as she stood beside Bear.

I’m fine, just a little lightheaded. I need to use the bathroom.

Bear pulled her to the bathroom tucked firmly against him, not letting her go from his side. He was so much bigger than her that her head barely fit under his armpit. She wasn’t a petite woman, but standing next to a man as big and burly as Bear, she felt small and fragile.

I’ll wait right here until you’re finished. His eyes were so soft and gentle, just like she felt his heart was. She wanted to run her fingers through his thick, dark beard. There was something sexy about his beard that made her want to drag her nails through it while she lay against his chest. His arms were big and beefy beneath the leather cut he was wearing. His hair was thick and coarse from the looks of it. It was cute that it still stuck up in some spots from riding on his bike. Bear appeared to be a man who didn’t care what others thought of his appearance.

She closed the door behind her, leaving the three men alone in her bedroom. She leaned against the bathroom sink for support, looking into the mirror at herself. Her eye had turned black and it hurt to stand up straight, so she had to brace her hands on the counter for support. She found it hard to look at herself in the mirror nowadays. It wasn’t because she was beat up like a rag doll, but because she was tired of doing things that led her to where she was today. She never imagined herself going from being married to being a divorcee who allowed her gambling habit to control her life and ruin her future. She’d had a good life once, and now she was paying for it dearly.

Jill used the bathroom and washed last night’s makeup off her face. She decided to take a quick shower and wash away the dirt on her knees from her fall on the blacktop.

As she allowed the water to cascade over her head and body, she cried silent tears, wishing she could go back and do life over again. She would never step foot inside a casino ever again, that’s for sure. The only good thing that had come from this experience was she was able to meet two intriguing men such as Saxton and Bear.

Bear and Saxton were complete opposites of her ex husband, James. Bear looked like the Brawny man from the TV paper towel commercials. All he had to do was exchange his leather cut for a flannel shirt and they could be twins.

And then there was Saxton. The man oozed sex appeal. His forearms were tanned from the countless hours he must have spent on his motorcycle. Jill had never been fascinated with tattoos on a man before, but the one Sax sported on his right shoulder made her want to trace it with the tip of her tongue and see how
