Micah McGuire
Micah L. McGuireUnited States war veteran and recipient of many awards and service ribbons, Micah McGuire fought in Operation Iraqi Freedom as a soldier in the United States Army. He served at a pivotal point in history - the first Iraqi elections. For three days Micah and his platoon secured a half-destroyed elementary school in a rural town in Iraq and defended it from attack. His unit conducted various missions across northern Iraq, trained the Iraqi National Guard and local police. Micah returned home after a one-year tour and found himself a single father of his two very small children. For the next ten years, Micah attended various learning institutions in order to get training in areas he knew would be helpful in providing for his family, including the Art Institute of Seattle for graphic design, the Art Institute of Phoenix for video production, the Discovery Detective Academy, and completed courses at the Motorcycle Mechanics Institute in Phoenix, making him a certified Harley-Davidson motorcycle mechanic. In 2010 Arizona State Governor Jan Brewer signed into legislation the Support Our Law Enforcement and Safe Neighborhoods Act (introduced as Arizona Senate Bill 1070), requesting civilians to begin training to aid in times of crisis. Micah volunteered with an organization known as the Arizona State Militia in order to comply with this request and to assist in protecting the state where he was raising his family. This organization reported its methods of training, background verification procedures, and membership numbers to the liaison of the Arizona State Senators during meetings held at the state capitol. Micah personally assisted by training civilians in procedures such as First Aid, traffic control, land navigation, and more. These trained volunteers assisted in US Veterans’ events, parades, and other events, as well as building houses for Habitat For Humanity, and much more.In April of 2014, after hearing unconfirmed rumors of civilians being harmed at a protest, Micah traveled to Nevada with water, food, and medical supplies. He had no prior knowledge of any of the legal situations involved with the Bundy family in Bunkerville and merely went to observe the protest. Once at the protest site, Micah watched a crowd standing in a wash, under a bridge, as they stared down the barrels of some thirty-plus armed gunmen, who were working for the Bureau of land Management and were telling the crowd by way of a megaphone that they had orders from the BLM to kill them. As Micah watched from a hilltop in horror he thought the only way he could possibly help would be to use his own body as a shield for the women and children below if the bullets started flying. Thankfully the BLM agents stood down and no one was hurt. He went home and posted a picture to Facebook, stating that he was “proud” that no one was killed that day, but feared it may happen again.Micah McGuire has absolutely no criminal history and has been volunteering as a street minister for the two years after the Bundy Ranch protest. Micah is now being held in the Corrections Corporation of America’s Pahrump, Nevada prison after being tackled and arrested by the FBI on his way to work on March 3rd, 2016. He has been held without bail ever since, even though there exist no legitimate reasons or crimes he has committed to keep him so confined. To learn more about this story, please visit www.savemcguire.com.

Foreword
People everywhere are prone to fear, anger, doubt sorrow, addictions of various types, foolishness, and many other human foibles which we who believe know to be sin that has infested our lives. In western society we have self-help gurus, positive thinking preachers, anger management, twelve-step programs, and many more cures
of the flesh designed to help people to manage their problems and shortcomings without actually delivering those people from that which controls their lives and keeps them from experiencing the true fullness of life.
In Winning the War, Micah McGuire tackles all of these problems from the only source designed to actually deliver people from their afflictions, regardless of what they might be. This is what might be called a One Step program, since it requires only one step each person needs to take in order to become free from their imprisoning sin, that which is found in Romans 10:9-10,
9 "that if you confess with your mouth Yahshua as Lord and believe in your heart the Almighty has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
This is the one thing and the one thing only that is necessary to place each person on the One Step Road to Deliverance that will set them free from each and every thing that holds them bondage to the slavery of their flesh. It doesn’t matter if any of these are strongholds that have been in a person’s life since childhood, if they have only recently acquired this problem, such as becoming addicted to drugs, or even if it is something that might be a generational sin, that which passes down from parent-to-child one generation after another as Scripture warns us, to keep each generation in bondage to any particular sin, this One Step program to deliverance is there to break the chains, to guide us, to show us how to be true overcomers so we never have to be enslaved to these strongholds again and can proclaim to the whole world our eternal freedom because of what Scripture tells us,
"Therefore if the Son shall make you free, you shall be free indeed."
John 8:36
Reject the many programs the world has to offer, programs which keep us enslaved, because that is how these programs make their money, and begin on the road to complete freedom from the strongholds that no one else can break you loose from. Read through Winning the War and identify the strongholds that enslave you and follow the instructions for getting free.

Introduction
When I was seven years old I was standing at the altar in church and I remember offering my life to God’s service. I knew my life would only be worth living if I was a soldier for Christ. After being prayed for I began to laugh. I laughed for hours. My family didn’t know what to do with me.
That seems to be my one childhood memory where I was not hurting or in pain. My entire childhood consisted of abuse. I was a bastard child with no full siblings. My parents seemed hateful and callous. My older brothers beat and tormented me every moment of every day. I barely had toys and wasn’t allowed to watch TV. I either did chores or was locked outside every moment I wasn’t at school. My mother only screamed at me and her husband whupped me in anger if I wasn’t working. My older brothers’ father,
