Being happy is possible by using the power of gratitude and appreciation.
Make the conscious choice to be grateful and negative emotions will begin to drop out of your life. Focus on gratitude and appreciation. You'll find negative emotions, feelings and thoughts will fade over time.

I want to acknowledge and give thanks to my mother(Pat), friends (Crystal & Tammy), and co-workers(Gail & Heather) that supported me in this endeavor.
These individuals were generous with their support, suggestions, and opinions. They freely gave of their time; offered wise words and encouragement. I am deeply grateful for their friendship, guidance and support.

Introduction
I wrote the first edition of this book back in 2011 under a pen name and decided to re-visit it. There have been both good and bad things that have happened to me and my family in that time.
I've used Gratitude and Appreciation in both good and trying times. In the spring of 2015 my mother suffered a serious illness that was life threatening. She had a serious chest infection that required surgery, weeks of treatment in ICU, being placed on ventilator, suffering hospital acquired infection before she made a turn for the better. It was a long road to recovery that is still ongoing even today.
We were told that for every day she spent in ICU it would take 7 days to fully recover. She spent 7 weeks in three different levels of ICU. She won't be fully recovered for more than a year.
In spite of the horrible and hard circumstances I was able to retain a positive outlook that I do believe had an impact on my mom's recovery. While this situation was stressful and hard by focusing on those items for which I was grateful and appreciated, I was able to continue to work, do some writing, take care of things around my mother's home, and my home and keep track of all the medical issues.
Was this easy? No, but it was necessary. Rehab was both frustrating and exhilarating at the same time. Each day small steps were taken and of course my mom was never satisfied with her progress. It wasn't fast enough for her.

Are you frustrated and feel hopeless?
Are you angry, mad or feeling misunderstood?
I've had many of the same thoughts, feelings and emotions in my past, but not so much in the past two decades. I have managed conquer, subdue and defeat my negative thoughts, feelings and emotions so that I can live my best life.
This book is going to present you with ideas, suggestions and ways that you can use to look, discern and apply gratitude
