You have both got some nerve! I heard Amelia before I saw her. Jack, Elissa and I had just taken booth near the piano in full view of the back room by the bar that read ‘Employees Only’ Jack had dropped my hand and Patricia was sitting between us. As soon as I heard Amelia’s voice, I turned around and saw her marching towards our table. Her face was red with anger as she looked from Jack to Patricia. She finally reached the table where we were sitting and marched straight up to Jack.

I can’t stop you from coming here, she told him, but I’m certainly not sharing a table with you.

Amelia, I said, I need to talk to you...

"I can’t believe you can sit here with him! Amelia said to me before I could finish, sit here with them after everything he’s done!" Amelia’s voice hand now grown so loud that several tables next to us turned, interestedly to look at her.

Amelia, Jack said in a calming voice, it was all-

"You don’t even try to speak to me! Amelia said loudly pointing to Jack, you lying piece of shit!"

Now several tables were looking at us. Though she still wore her ditsy, clueless Elissa face, I could tell that Patricia was looking at me telling me to do something, quickly. Hurriedly, I stood and grabbed Amelia by the arm.

Come to the bathroom with me? I asked. I tugged her away from the table and into the women’s restroom before she could answer.

Kate! she said once we were in the restroom, "what the hell are you doing? You hated Jack Barnes this morning. Now I see you sharing drinks with him?"

He came by this afternoon and explained everything. It was all a misunderstanding.
