Alina Waldorf stretched lazily, coming awake with a secretive smile playing about her lips. It wasn’t everyday a woman discovered that the man she loved, also shared her feelings and it wasn’t everyday she learned that he was not her father’s killer.

Alexandr was a constant source of wonder to her. After they had both realized neither was trying to kill the other, he had treated her to the most romantic picnic of her entire life. She blushed prettily now, recalling how he had fed her from his own plate, carrying strawberries to her lips with his fingers and letting her lick the juices from his long fingers. And she didn’t even want to dwell on the long, steamy kisses he had treated her to continuously.

He had also been furious when he discovered that someone had been trying to kill her. His eyes had darkened with anger and his grip had tightened protectively around her as he vowed to find out who had tried repeatedly to kill her and make it seem like his doing.

A knock sounded at the door, jerking her out of her thoughts, and she sat up immediately, her heart skipping at the thought of seeing Alexandr again.

Come in, she called, her voice trembling with hope.

The door opened slowly and his beloved face filled the doorway. His dark hair was in very sexy disarray as usual and his diamond earring winked becomingly in one ear. He was dressed in
