After You Seduce Me - Part 3 - E.J. Adams

    Chapter One

Brandon and I sat in the Milan police department with one of their detectives. Bennett, Sanders, & Ross sent one of the attorneys, Lorenzo Bertani, from their office in Rome to assist us. We provided all of the legal paperwork that proved Brandon was Antonio's father and that we had both child support and custody agreements with Gina Arlotti. The police would start an investigation, but Brandon wanted things to move faster.

So, what are our options? Brandon asked Lorenzo Bertani.

The police will do what they can, but it may take some time to locate Ms. Arlotti and your son. They are free to move about Italy and all of the European Union. The police will get word out that Antonio is traveling with one parent without the authorization of the second parent. They will be stopped if they try to cross a border.

But if they have already left Italy? asked Brandon.

Unless they try to cross another border . . . it may take longer to locate them, replied Lorenzo.

I know the police are doing all they can, but we need more resources on this, said Brandon. I want to hire a private investigator to start looking. Who do you recommend?

We use the Galletta Detective Agency in Rome whenever we need any investigative work done. They are excellent. They also have offices all over Europe. In fact, I believe they even have an office here in Milan, replied Lorenzo.

Good. Please put me in touch with them.

I will have someone from their office contact you shortly.

    Thank you.

I am available to assist with any legal filings once we locate your son. I assure you that, at a minimum, the joint custody arrangement will be enforced, stated Lorenzo.

Is there a chance we could gain primary custody? I asked.

If it turns out that Ms. Arlotti was trying to flee with Antonio? I believe there would be a strong case to be made. But this not a typical divorce and joint custody situation, so it is too soon to say exactly what would happen. Let's concentrate on locating Antonio first, said Lorenzo. Let me call my office so we can get the ball rolling on hiring the  investigators.

Within ten minutes Brandon received a call from Marco Galletti of the Galletti Detective Agency. He was the President of the agency, based in Rome. He gave Brandon the address of their Milan office and stated that his head detective in Milan, Matteo Silvi, was expecting us and would handle the investigation. Marco Galletti assured Brandon that Matteo Silvi was a top detective and specialized in finding missing persons.

Their Milan office is actually only a few blocks from here. Their head detective is waiting for us, Brandon told me.

There was nothing more for Lorenzo to do at the moment, so he left to return to Rome. Brandon and I walked the two blocks to the Galletti Detective Agency's Milan office. It was located on the third floor of a small office building. Brandon and I took the elevator to the third floor.

Brandon tapped his foot nervously and I reached over to hold his hand.

Everything will be okay. We will find Antonio. Whatever it takes, I said.

There are only two people who have had an instant hold me on. You . . . and Antonio, Brandon said.

Brandon, he's your son. It doesn't matter that you only found out about him last week and met him for the first time a few days ago. We will find him.

The elevator stopped on the third floor and we got out. We crossed the hall and entered the lobby of Galletti Detective Agency.

    "Buon pomeriggio, signore.
