    Twilight Inspirations - V.L. Fowler

    Omnipotent

    TWILIGHT/MIDNIGHT SUN

    EDWARD

    Thirst

I take you in, your scent biting. It drives me crazy.

    Your bouquet renders me still.

Just being in your proximity sets off a frantic longing to consume you and every ounce of your being.

    Control is not practical.

It goes against the very grain of my existence.

The more I drink you in, the more I desire.

Anticipation of that first taste, running like fire through my veins.......

    All consuming, ravenous and insuppressible.

Can my thirst be satiated without mortality inflicted on your soul?

My self-control, is it powerful enough to drive you away, fear for your end? My chance at a new beginning....do I just pretend?

This blood thirst that drives me mad, symbiotic in nature with thirst for life.

    Destined to imprison me

    lost in wanton desire.

The need I have cannot be renounced.

Entangled in the seducement of your incense

I cannot evade what pulls me in.

My bloodthirst, thirst for your blood

not only the hunger but the mere longing for your familiar

    fragrance.

As time passes, will my thirst be subdued by the utter realization

of a world of me without you?

I drink you in....every breath, every word whispered on your lips.

The intensity in your eyes, the touch of your skin.

I thirst for you and the very essence of you.

All of the constraint I have to offer is exercised everytime I am in your presence.

My thirst for your blood is far outweighed by my thirst for you.

I am complete with you and without you I am lost.

    Take me as I am

    Let me consume you

    Thirst for blood be still.

Appease my appetite with your simple existence.......

    A reprieve for my love.

    100 Years

Time passes but not for me.

I lie still in my sleep

Afraid of that which lie ahead of me.

    Every corner of my room,dark

    and unnerving,awaiting the evil

that must certainly come to devour me.

I have betrayed my soul as to see one more day.

Cheating a death that was surely meant for me.

I am burdened by my hasty decision to remain a soldier in a world of

    Godforsaken loneliness.

Predestined to spend eternity in isolation.

    Sharing nothing with no one.

    Absolutely and completely alone.

This path that I have chosen will be one

    of great sacrifice and anguish.

The mere concept of loving someone

betrays any humanness that may still reside in me.

Imposing my affliction on another, with intention, is not

something I would do or even consider.

    I often question my decision.

Were it better to die and go on to another world

than to live eternally in a life damned from its inception?

I have waited over 100 years for you.

Damnation has never felt this good.

I am damned if I love you and damned if I don't.

I prefer we be damned together.

I the immortal- you the mortal- oh if it were that simple.

From the first moment that I smelled your sweet fragrance,

I knew that I must have you,

    ravage you,

    make you mine.

And there you were, ready to meet me halfway.

    You saw through me,

    saw who I really am

    and accepted me without pretense.

I've fallen in love with you

    and every part of you.

My hunger for you envelopes me, but I control

    the urge to destroy you

    remembering my
