About this ebook

Hello again and welcome to my second book on spiritual visitors. This book I have called “A Walk on Spirit Street” because that is where we are about to take our journey, a walk alongside the dead.

I am a medium and have been for around 25 years. I see hear and talk to the dead. It is a gift I treasure and always will. My gift was given to me about 25 years ago and I have enjoyed every day since. This is not a book of horror or stories of monsters from other planets. This is a book of short true stories of visitors from the spirit world that have happened to me and others like me. It tells of spirits that visit us from the other side for pure fun, loved ones who want to pass on a message after their death, also scary spirits who want to cause alarm or upset and spirits that just do not want to leave this earth. There are also visions and pictures of the strangest things that are hard to explain. It also tells of dreams and their meanings, nature’s weird things and a lot more exciting reading.

All of the stories I have written are true to the best of my knowledge, any pictures of spirits are real and have not been doctored in any way. I have enlarged the pictures in this book to make it easier to view on the smaller kindles.

My third book “Ashes to Ashes and Back” should be out towards the end of 2016. It is only thanks to the people who bought my first book that I was able to carry on and write my second and third book.

Love and Light to you all
Enjoy and sleep well

I am at this moment 65 years old. I still work in a fantastic job and love it. However my big love is contacting with the spirit world, talking to those who have passed over. My first book tells it all really so I do not want to put too much here and spoil your read.I have at present no reason to stop working, though in my spare time I write about my spiritual experiences and visitations from the other side, which happen on a regular basis. I seem to be a magnet for ghosts and spiritual beings. Most nights someone in spirit visits my bedroom trying to attract my attention or trying to tell me something that I need to pass on to someone else. What I have learned over the last 25 years has turned me into a very different person, I do believe there is a God, and I now know 100% there is life after death, I have seen them. I have lost a lot of my family over the years, wife and brother included, but what I have learned about dying and where we go and how easy it is for those loved ones to get in touch has changed my views totally.Oh how far I have travelled from my days of drinking smoking clubbing and girls. I will tell you that being able to contact those in the spirit world is the most wonderful thing that has ever happened to me. If you want to know more about true hauntings, visions I have had, ghosts and things that go bump in the night, this book tells everything I went through to be where I am now and believe me it was a tough old journey. Also true stories of others in a similar situation as myself. These stories have never been printed before, the photos of real spirits have never been seen. If you get scared easily this book may well give you some sleepless nights. My second book, "A Walk on Spirit Street" is out now. Again a book crammed with true stories and photos of real hauntings and spiritual visitors. Over 18s only. My face book name is, `Spookybooks` should you want a peek at my Face book page.

A Walk on Spirit Street - Spooks

    Introduction

    Over 18s only

Welcome to my second book of short but true stories of the paranormal. This is not a book of horror stories but a book about spiritual visitors, visions, and things that go bump in the night. I promise as I did in the first book that I will write everything in what I call layman’s terms. I want everyone to be able to read and understand exactly what I am saying, so I’ll keep it really simple indeed so even a novice will understand what it’s all about. Pictures are larger in this book for the smaller kindles. Any pictures you sent me must be your own and not taken from the Internet. That is illegal.

I wanted to get as many stories as possible for you to read about, but only the true stories. So many people have had experiences with the other side and kept it to themselves which really is a shame. But I have managed to drag some of these stories out of the minds of others and put them to print for you to read. I want to tell some of the stories that did not make the papers, as well as a few famous stories that did. If you are of a nervous temperament caution is advised as some of these stories are scary but all very true!

This book is not all about seeing spirits or hearing noises, there are also stories of spiritual visions that I and others have had, and also about dreams and how they can affect our waking life. I see many visions that mostly come true, this is what I do, plus I also help the bereft. All are very important to the communication between us, the human being and the spirit world, or the other side as some may call it.

Let me tell you a little more about me before we go on. I was introduced so to speak to spirit matters in a very roundabout way. If you had read my last book you would have seen that I, for whatever reason came to a stage in my life where I was able to talk to, see, and communicate with the dead. Ask me if I was scared and I will tell you only the truth; yes I was terrified at first. I had no clue as to what on earth was going on in my life or why I could see people in my room and in my head when my eyes were closed. I am fine with it now as I am over 64 years old and have been seeing spirits for many years. But there is always the question of why me? I do understand much more about the spirit world now and feel ok with what goes on. I am still not 100% sure why or what I am supposed to be doing? Although I just carry on and do it. Am I a helper of some kind, a medium, a clairvoyant, or a channel for the spirits? Am I here simply to help others? The question is do I tell everyone I have a vision about them and what I have seen? Some things I see I don’t want to pass on as they would really upset people if I did. So what I decided was I would tell people what I thought they wanted to hear and forget the rest, sometimes I don’t even say a word if it all looks real bad. Of course there are times when I get nothing at all. Some people want to know everything, and I mean everything. I would never tell anyone they were going to die on a certain date which is what a lady recently told me, this is what a medium said to her. I also look at the tarot cards and tell people what will happen in their near future and of their past. But this for whatever reason is a God given gift that I am meant to use. After all I was helped in a big way when I was down and out. This makes me feel good too. Mind you not everyone wants me to interfere, and sometimes I do get it thrown back in my face and told to go away and keep out of their business. They even turn their back on me sometimes in the middle of a conversation. How rude.

It is quite strange when you are into spiritual ways how you seem to mostly mix and be around people who think the same, ok yes there are always one or two people who will tell you what you are doing is wrong, your books are terrible, and you need to stop writing about it, sceptic’s they are called, some other religions say I am evil and messing with the Devil. But that’s their feelings and none belief in what I do, so I just plod on and do what I am here to do; whatever that is. If it were that bad why do I work under the name of our Lord, Angels and beautiful spirits? I am a spiritualist and proud of it. When I talk to my spirit guides they are not living human beings but in the spirit world. When I have visions of the future they are given to me by my spirit guides or from other beings from the spirit world.

It has taken a long time to put this book together; I hope you enjoy the true stories that follow. Sleep tight.

Things are not always what they seem!

What on earth is that on the ground?

Sometimes we see or hear things and it can take your breath away. But upon looking into it a little more, you find it’s not quite what you thought it was. This photo was taken by Rick a good friend of mine. At a glance it looks as if it could be the skull of a walrus maybe or some prehistoric monster? It would make you jump for sure walking along the beach and seeing this right in front of you. But as you can see below, it is only an old log washed up on the beach.

It’s pretty gruesome though and quite scary too, even as a log. You see how easy it is to con the public, but not a good idea to do so. This book is all about the truth and what is really out there. Nothing faked; no lies, no doctored photos of spirits or orbs, just the pure honest truth. The other side is closer than you think.

    The very haunted fireplace

I love this picture. This photo was sent to me by Annette, a lovely lady who is very much into ghosts and spooky stories in a big way. Take a close look at this photo. In the glass of her fire can you see a face, an evil face? Can you see anything else? Sitting on top of the fire on the left as it appears in the photo, can you see a black cat lying down facing out, it really is as clear as day. The weird thing is they do not have a cat, they used to some time ago, but sadly it passed over, but it was not black. This photo was taken in Annette’s house; I would say the house was built in the early 1900’s. Annette’s family moved in around 2012. However the mother of Annette was the one who had just cleaned the fire and the glass on the front of the fire. She herself used to own a black cat some years ago but sadly died. Who knows whose cat this is or who the evil face belongs to; but they are there for sure. This photo has not been doctored in any way at all, but is quite scary.

    The Metheringham Lass

Many years ago when my Mum and Dad used to go caravanning, they once went to a site near a place called Metheringham in Lincolnshire UK. As Dad is an ex RAF war veteran as a navigator/ wireless operator, he was very interested in this area; and this is one of the reasons he went to Lincolnshire for his holidays. He eventually moved there too. There are many RAF bases in that area including Scampton where the Dambusters flew from, for that very famous raid in WW2. While he was up there he was very much inspired by a ghost story, enough to write a poem, not about the lady in question, but an inspiration from the story that led to the poem. Firstly this is how the story goes.

A young woman is seen hitch hiking in the area of Metheringham at the side of the road close to the old airfield. She has been seen by many drivers. She is said to be distraught, crying and waving the drivers down to stop. There is supposed to be a smell of lavender that surrounds her. But when they stop to pick her up, she just disappears into thin air. When she has disappeared it leaves a smell of rotten flesh. The story goes on to say she was involved with a flight Sergeant on that base. Her name was Catherine Bystock, and it all happened way back in 1945, just coming to the end of WW2. Her boyfriend had a motorcycle; they were out one night and had a very bad crash, Catherine died from her injuries, her boyfriend survived. They were said to be on the way back from a dance, but with the weather being very bad the bike skidded, It is such a sad story. Now the poem that was inspired by this story, the poem as I said is not directly about the girl in the story, but you can see the connections and how Dad was inspired by the story.

    Life goes on

I bathed in the seas of recollection

    Washed by waves of memories

As I stood on the edge of the old airfield

    The images started to freeze.

The cornfields gave way in the picture

And lengths of old concrete took place,

I stood at the end of the runway

    My heart started pounding apace.

I heard the sound of the engines

    Set together in synchronized four,

I saw the dark shapes come towards me

Then over my head they did roar.

Were they heading away to Death Valley?

Set in the heart of the Ruhr,

Led by a young Wing Commander

    Aged only twenty and four?

It was then that I felt a new presence

Standing quite close to my side,

I turned and saw a young lady

Who was beautifully dressed as a bride.

For a long time I stood and beheld her

Though her eyes never once met mine.

She just gazed away in the distance

    Her beautiful face was divine.

From afar came the engines approaching,

    Louder and louder they grew,

She was counting the shapes passing over,

Many missing on that night she knew.

    Her bridal gown gradually faded

And there in black stood the bride,

My heart was filled with compassion,

    My stomach was churning inside.

    Her image was gradually fading

Her face growing older with time,

She too had died for her country

Instead of living a life more sublime.

The sound of more engines grew louder,

I awoke from my dream with a start

As through the cornfield roared a tractor

With a beautiful young girl on the cart

I looked at those heavenly features

Recalling the face of the bride

I knew at a glance that her mother

That day had stood by my side.

This is the first time I have seen what my Dad had written about the story. It really left a lump in the throat, it is truly excellent. I pictured everything in my mind that Dad was talking about in the poem, the planes, the girl and the whole story. Maybe my Dad should have written a book himself with that kind of artistic flare.

    The German war cemetery

This is such a sad story of soldiers who died, not from war necessarily, but a plague. This really is an amazing place that just sweeps you away. It lies between Cannock and Stafford on Cannock Chase itself in the Midlands in the UK. I have heard of a weird story of a werewolf stalking this place, a large hairy monster which stands up on its back legs, it has been witnessed by quite a few of the locals. There have been sightings also of UFOs and many ghosts in the area of Cannock Chase. I never experienced this when I went there, but I just wanted to tell you about how strange this place really is. I spent about two hours walking around and looking at the graves. It is quiet and peaceful, but I mean very quiet and peaceful. I was with my family when I visited the cemetery which is when we all noticed that there were no birds anywhere in sight, no bird sounds to be heard at all. It is the weirdest thing to experience, why would the birds stay away? Can they feel death maybe? Who knows? But it is well worth a visit if you are in the area. I was speaking to some people from the Midlands who live near there and asked why there were so many Germans buried in here, were they all killed in battle? He told me that many of the people in this graveyard died from an epidemic of influenza that swept through the prisoner of war camps at the end of WW1. There are also many Austrians buried there too. I have read that 2143 from WW1 and 2786 from WW2 are buried there. That is amazing really when you think a lot of these soldiers who lay here fought for their lives in a war and then killed by the flu. There’s far too much for me to write about but well worth a visit or a look on the internet and read all about this amazing place. God bless you all.

    The haunted picture

One day, when I was visiting my family, my sister and I went to see our sister in law and their family, her name is Anne. When we got there we sat down in the front room and were just chatting away about things. I noticed a picture on the wall of three children sitting on a fence. Every time I looked at this picture I got the strangest feeling of something not right. I kept picking up the name Sarah every time I looked at it, but my stomach was churning over inside. I asked Anne where she got it from; she told me I could have it if I wanted it. Anne told me they have had nothing but bad luck ever since they bought the picture from a second hand dealer. I explained to Anne the feeling I was getting from this picture and said I really think it needs to be got rid of. Anne tells me she has given it away twice but it keeps being brought back. I suggested she burned it or smashed it up into little pieces and put it in the bin. This is just what Anne did; it was smashed to pieces and dropped in a skip never to return, sometimes it needs to be done.

I have been told, and also read about things that are made or painted by anyone who is evil in some way; the painting or the item can carry that person’s energy forever. Then the poor person who buys this will have the bad luck. I used to have many years ago African carved figures of men and beasts. I had some real problems around that time. I am not saying it was these figures causing the problems, but they were thrown out and things improved a lot for me afterwards. I
