SAMPLE EXCERPT:
“What was the inspiration behind the creation of this book?”
John Grisham always wants to write about Lawyers. As a former practicing lawyer, the law profession is still what tickles his mind and makes him curious. He also likes humor. In most of his books, he tries to add humor every so often. It usually happens during editing. He would go through his books and he would realize that particular portions are ripe for a laugh.
John Grisham meant for The Litigator to be a humorous story about the law profession. He wants his reader to have the good, the bad and the ugly side of lawyers. The story was mainly inspired by advertisements that he saw on television. There were unseemly appeals by lawyers for cases such as tractor or trailer accidents, medical malpractice, mass torts drugs and asbestos. He was curious about the side of being a lawyer, wherein the lawyers were hard up on cash, trying to get their names on billboards and trying to get as many cases as possible. Therein was the idea of The Litigators. He wanted to see how his characters will act or react when given a huge case that is way over their heads.

Foreword
A personal note from the editor…
What if…?
was the question that gave birth to Behind the Story Books.
When I pick up a book, from the first letter to the last, I am often completely enveloped in the novel - I'm laughing, rejoicing, fighting, and crying, side by side next to the characters. Even long after the book is finished, I found myself reminiscing about the scenes and characters over and over again in my head like a broken tape recorder – I was left high and very dry.
One particularly pleasant evening, after closing the last page to a wonderful story, I just HAD to find out everything about the book - how it was created, how it was developed, who the author was, - everything.
This sudden spurt of passion has led me to create and develop Behind the Story Books, to share with you - my fellow book lovers – a fan’s love for books. I hope you can see the love that went into the creation this book. Please enjoy this book and support Behind the Story Books. It is created for a fan, by a fan.
So without further ado, I present to you…
