Keys To Understanding God's Holy Word

About this ebook
The following is an excerpt from the Preface of my book. It should give you an idea of what my book is about:
"(Isa 33:5-6 NIV) The LORD is exalted, for he dwells on high; he will fill Zion with justice and righteousness. {6} He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the LORD is the key to this treasure.
The NLT says it this way:
(Isa 33:5-6 NLT) Though the LORD is very great and lives in heaven, he will make Jerusalem his home of justice and righteousness. {6} In that day he will be your sure foundation, providing a rich store of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge. The fear of the LORD is the key to this treasure.
In my use of the word "key" I’m referring to that which opens a correct understanding of something. In particular, doctrines formed from a study of God’s Word (called by Gentile believers in Jesus, the Holy Bible). If you have the right key, it will open up a door to a correct understanding of a doctrine. I also use the word "key" in a way that is similar to the word "premise." If you have the right premise, you’ll end up with the right conclusion (or understanding). Conversely, if you have the wrong premise, you’ll end up with the wrong conclusion. A premise is a proposition upon which an argument is based or from which a conclusion is drawn. So having the right key or premise is very important!"
Have most believers in Jesus been taught correct doctrines? After many years (I am 84) of reading and studying the Bible (with much prayer) I have come to the conclusion that some of my beloved brethren in Christ, who are leaders, have had a wrong premise in some of their doctrines. So, most believers in Jesus (Jewish believers use the name, Yeshua) have been taught incorrect doctrines concerning death, life, soul, the believers destiny, the destiny of the lost, the importance of the resurrection of believers (and even Jesus), and who Jesus/Yeshua really is. If what I present in my book doesn't have Scriptural references to back it up, it means nothing! The reader of this book (hopefully with prayer) will have to decide if what I have written here presents keys to the understanding of God's Holy Word, and whether it honors God and His Word.
Jack A. Albert
I was born near downtown Joliet, IL by Italian parents on February the 9th, 1932. Started reading the Bible in my mid teens, but didn’t fully understand what Jesus accomplished until years later when I joined the Navy because of the Korean War. I joined the Navy for three reasons: One, I felt a responsibility to serve my country; Two, many of my uncles had served in the Navy during World War II; and Three, because of my religious beliefs, I felt that there was a better chance of my not having to kill anyone face to face in the Navy. After praying about it, I enlisted in the Navy in early February 1951, and eventually was assigned to a ship in the amphibious branch of the Navy, named the USS Monrovia APA 31. Being in the amphibious branch of the Navy, we carried Marines and practiced amphibious landings. During one of those times there was a Marine Master Sergeant who conducted a bible class aboard my ship, and I attended it. It was in his class that I came to fully understand what Jesus did for any of us who puts their faith in Him. God honored my prayer and kept me away from combat. But it wasn’t until many years later (starting in the 60’s) that a cousin and I (after much prayer and study of the Bible) came to see the Jewishness of our beliefs. My cousin and I and a very close friend started a small church in Lockport, IL, but because our beliefs, for the most part, were different than typical “Christianity” we only lasted for a few years. I eventually ended up in a Messianic Jewish congregation because it was closer to my beliefs. But I no longer attend there. One reason: I don't drive long distances because of my age and some eye trouble, As I said in the preface of my first book, what I have written (with much prayer) is mainly from my own study of the Scriptures. Like the Apostle Paul, I never married. Not that I didn’t desire to, but I left it up to God. I came close a few times, but it must not have been His will. Perhaps, if I had married I would never have written my books. As the Apostle Paul said: (1 Cor 7:32-34a NIV) I would like you to be free from concern. An unmarried man is concerned about the Lord's affairs--how he can please the Lord. {33} But a married man is concerned about the affairs of this world--how he can please his wife-- {34} and his interests are divided. Be that as it may, I never married. As I look back, I believe that God had saved me much grief: One died in child birth, one died of cancer, and one died, but I don’t know how since I found out indirectly, years later, through the obituary of her father. I pray that God, through His Son, Jesus/Yeshua, will guide all who read my books..

Preface
(Isa 33:5-6 NIV) The LORD is exalted, for he dwells on high; he will fill Zion with justice and righteousness.
In my use of the word key
I’m referring to that which opens a correct understanding of something. In particular, doctrines formed from a study of God’s Word (called by Gentile believers in Jesus, the Holy Bible). If you have the right key, it will open up a door to a correct understanding of a doctrine. Another way I use the word key:
I use it as similar to the word premise.
If you have the right premise, you’ll end up with the right conclusion (or understanding). Conversely, if you have the wrong premise, you’ll end up with the wrong conclusion. A premise is a proposition upon which an argument is based or from which a conclusion is drawn. So having the right key or premise is very important!
In my books I use many different versions of the Bible. Not only do I compare Scripture with Scripture, I also compare version with version. But, most of all, I have to look to God’s guidance! If what I present here has no Scripture to back it up, it means nothing.
As seen from Isa 33:5-6 (in the NIV and NLT versions of the Bible), the key
to the treasure
of salvation and wisdom and knowledge,
is to fear
(be in great awe, and fear,
even to the point of trembling
) the living God,
(Psa 2:11 NIV) Serve the LORD with fear and rejoice with trembling.
(Psa 2:11 NLT) Serve the LORD with reverent fear, and rejoice with trembling.
He is the LORD
of creation (the one and only God). So, as you’ll see, my first Key is to believe that God exists. He is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (Israel). Once you get to know the true God, your fear will turn to love.
You cannot fear or love any being that you do not believe exists. So to believe that the LORD
(the most holy and wonderful God, the Maker of heaven and earth
) exists is of first importance.
Going along with believing that God exists, is putting one’s faith and trust in His Holy Word. God has not left us to the whims of mankind; He has given us His Word by inspiring certain of those who trusted in Him to record His Holy Word - He did this by His Spirit. Many books have been written, but God’s Word is of most importance. In it you’ll find the way to eternal life! Without life you have nothing. Any book written to tell us about life (call it science, philosophy, or whatever else), but does not agree with God’s Holy Word, can actually lead to death - eternal death!
(Prov 14:12 NIV) There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.
In my writing of this, and the other books I’ve written, most (close to all) of my beloved brethren in Christ
(or as my Jewish brethren would say: in the Messiah
) would disagree with much of what I’ve written. Because I love them it is difficult for me, but I can only present what I have come to believe after many years of prayer, and of studying God’s Word while looking to Him through His Son, Jesus/Yeshua the Christ/Messiah of Israel. Jesus is the Greek to English derivation, and Yeshua is the Hebrew to English derivation.
In my books I have many times used Jesus/Yeshua
and Christ/Messiah;
my reason for doing so is that I want to emphasize that Jesus is a Jew, and that the word Christ
is the same as the word Messiah.
It is not Jesus’ last name! He is the promised Messiah of Israel; He is God’s salvation, as the name Jesus/Yeshua implies!
A false doctrine passed on can result in further false doctrines. It is for that reason that I was in constant prayer to God (when I wrote my books) to protect me from error. As long as I’m living, I’ll continue to do that. I want my mind to always be open to the living God for understanding.
If you, the reader, is a Jew who hasn't put your faith in Yeshua (or as Gentiles call Him, Jesus) you should read this book since it brings out how your God, the one and only God, loves you. And hopefully you’ll obtain eternal life
by knowing Him better. I know you have a very hard time with the belief that Jesus is God. Well, I agree with you! Jesus is not God.
But there is more to it. I’ll explain why I believe that in this book. I can give you a simple answer right here, but there is so much more to it. You, a Jew, might be surprised, maybe pleased, with what I say, related to this, at the end of this book. I can only hope that my brethren in Christ who believe in the Trinity will bear with me in this, and read what I have to say before you pass judgment on me. We are not as far apart as you might think!
All my books have been published in ebook format through Smashwords - their internet address is: www.smaswords.com. Truly a great publisher for authors! They distribute your ebooks to many ebook stores - even libraries. Smashwords is the world’s largest distributor of indie ebooks!
There is a lot of redundancy in my writing because much of what I’ve written is controversial. I believe that repetition is needed to get important points across. I am up in years and have encountered many doctrines. Most true, but some, I believe, are in error.
Other than endeavoring to proclaim salvation in a truthful and clearer way, to correct those doctrines I believe are in error is the primary reason I’ve written my books. At least one will know that there is a different way of looking at some important doctrines. I am in constant prayer to God that I have come to believe the truthful way of understanding those doctrines. For instance: The doctrine of death, and the doctrine of resurrection. There is one doctrine that can never be changed; I’ll mention it in this book.
Other books I published through Smashwords are:
The Importance Of The Jew In God’s Overall Plan
Law and Grace
Should Gentile Believes in Jesus Observe the Dietary Laws?
I have allowed 75% of my first book to be read for free. My reason for charging something for the whole book is that at least there is the potential for those who offer the ebook getting a little something for doing so (my second and third books are short and free).
And that’s why I am, at the present, charging something for this book. I don’t need the money; God has supplied all my needs. As far as I'm concerned, those who offer this ebook don't even have to give me a percentage. I will not hold them accountable if they don’t! It is my desires that all who read it get to know God and His only begotten Son,
and be saved onto His Kingdom.
After I publish this book, my first book will be free.
May God, the God of Israel (the only God), guide all of us in our understanding of His Holy Word, and protect us from error.

In Conclusion
Key One
God exists.
(Heb 11:6 NIV) And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
This has to be the first key. You must believe (have faith) that God exists, and that He is able to actively reward us - be it helps in answer to our prayers, or when we please Him, in many other ways. In this present age, all have from God, the offer of eternal life,
but not as a reward or wage. One cannot earn it! Eternal life
is a free gift
given to all those that put their faith in God’s only begotten Son:
"Jesus" (or Yeshua), the Jewish Christ
(or Messiah
).
(Rom 6:23 NASB) For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Please note: In Christ Jesus.
I’ll touch on this later - that is, on one being IN God’s Son, the Christ
or Messiah
of Israel.
If one doesn’t believe that God exists, one is left to believing that life, the earth, the moon, the planets, the stars, and the galaxies, came about by chance! It actually takes more faith to believe that all things came about by chance than to believe in the Bible and the God of the Bible! With the Bible you have many eye witness reports of human beings who had personal encounters with the God of the Bible, the God of Israel. And those eye witness reports happened over nineteen hundred years ago (most, thousands of years ago). Many who believe that life came about by chance are called Evolutionists. They claim most of what they believe came about many millions of years ago - that really takes a lot of faith!
I know that some of you, who believe that the earth, the moon, the planets, the stars, and the galaxies came about by chance, will claim that you have eye witness evidence through your telescopes (and any other instruments you may use). Well, recently I saw a couple of movies where the special effects were so great that it looked as real as if it actually happened. It is written in God's Word:
(1 Cor 1:21a NLT) Since God in his wisdom saw to it that the world would never find
