About this ebook
This poetic account of satisfying a hungry soul leads us through adventures of the spirit, mind, and body. After being humbled by how deeply moving and fundamentally beautiful life may be, we see that it's possible to live for such nourishment. Over the course of these poems one is encouraged to begin an inward journey that's consistently propelled by external (especially faith based) lessons: this universe, a masterpiece of creation, becomes our mentor, as does it's creator.

Eclectic Awe - Scott Christian
card carrying people pleaser
ordained optimist and all around perk provider,
she sells selfless like it’s shells on the sea-line—
like humble-bending is coin and currency
for lavishing fresh humor.
so, we kneel before God
as loving respect, which inspires her sympathetic heart
to labor for these outstretched arms
which raise cause to heaven’s host.
here she moves, meeting prayer with passions,
motivating faith by palpable reaction,
as we are built and fortified by those sacred glories
heaped in gesture, word and gentle dealing.
all-access pass
it bounces lightly against my chest
as I approach.
the ushers spot it, smile and nod
then swing wide the heavy doors.
here, assembled, are people of every sort
with a common dream of knowing more
of what goes on behind the scenes.
the service is soon to start, so they flash overhead lights
and queue the intro music.
i find a comfortable spot with an intimate view
and prepare to be transported.
reaching up, I rub the cross on its shimmering chain around my neck—
best $20 dollars I ever spent.

her ego thrashes in the confines,
they journeying to wilds
where there’s to be release as accommodation for its impulse and demand.
upon separating she feels strange and a bit lost
as it thunders off angrily,
but God assures her this is temporary
as His diligent loves work lickety-split to fill
absent purpose.
for a moment she is ghost,
then infinite tide rolls into the spirit, newly liberated,
and she realizes, with peaking selflessness,
destiny…
as light dims…
we turn attentions forward-facing for grand spectacles,
as feature film unfolds.
today marks my 16th birthday festivities, and we’re here for The Falcon!
