About this ebook

The Bus Chronicles 1 is a tough act to follow, but its sequal, TBC2 promises to entertain you just the same. It is designed to make you think first and laugh later on purpose. In this episode, Author Shaquanda D Stephenson decided to address the 800lb guerilla in the room. Peel back the cover and find out what Superman and Band-Aids have in common. Read as she highlights the transportation goings on, but reflects on what lies beneath. Sure, you'll laugh, but mostly, you'll think. It's not about laughing at the person next to you, it's about the man in the mirror this time around. We all have issues. Will you find yours on the pages as you flip through the second saga of The Bus Chronicles? Only One Way To Find Out...

    FOREWORD

    Pastor Michael Odom

In many ways, we find that in order to be accepted in society we have to portray ourselves as a super hero. We are the comic book hero that hides behind an expectation or a standard we find, sometimes, makes us uncomfortable. We are heroes in the crowd, but lonely when we are by ourselves with secrets that we can’t share with anyone. We were created to create, created to proclaim, created to have dominion and rule, but because of separation from our origin, our abilities and strengths are weakened. The wounds of experience have deafened us.

Wounds are inflicted by past events. It is set-up to cause a perpetual remembrance! How many times have you heard others continually rehearse the pain from a traumatic event that may have happened years ago? The pain continually plagues them until this very day. Perhaps you recognize this in your own life.

A soul wound is a MONUMENT inside your soul that causes you to be affected by an event that happened years ago. It is a monument inside your mind (ahem … remember your soul — mind, will, emotions?) controlling your responses and the way you feel. It also causes you to remember the horrible thing(s) that happened to you all the way back then. Does this sound like someone you know? Does it sound like you?

Our past and where we come from weakens us and keeps us from operating at full strength and capacity, sometimes hiding behind an identity that minimizes who we really are. We blend into a crowd and make little noise; we live vicariously behind the works and identity of others to obtain a sense of self-worth and purpose, all the while missing opportunities and having unfulfilled dreams. We become closet superheroes, who never meet their full potential because we dream, but never pursue; always-getting ready, but not quite ready. We become like the man at the pool of Bethesda, always the runner up. Dreams get left on the drawing board and never make it to the boardroom. We end up confining ourselves within the ideology of others living below our identity.

    Come out, come out

In our childhood, we all remember playing hide and seek. We would hide until someone counted to a certain number and then we were permitted to come out of our hiding places. We were trying to make it back to home base without
