- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Seriously, there are spelling errors and unfinished sentences on literally every page, and also some of the information in this book is plain wrong.
Also, it might be a good idea to check out the actual names of devices you intend to describe before writing about them.1 person found this helpful

The Concept Method - Antoine Tramble
Introduction
This book is a guide to building your own recording studio, which is the first step to becoming a self-reliant music creator. It contains the absolute essentials that you need to build a recording studio to create high quality music without going into debt. You will learn what equipment is and is not needed for your style of music, what to look for when you are deciding on everything from your computers operating system to what kind of microphone you will need. You will also learn how to build a professional recording studio on a small budget, as well as how to set up your studio equipment.
I Love Music
I love the process of creating music, and the happy accidents, failures and discoveries along the way. I love that I am able to make a living and support my family with one of my greatest passions. I love the artist, publishers, media companies, TV shows and filmmakers who have, for more than a decade used my music in their projects.
And then there is you. I love your ambition and passion to make your music. But I have to say, I’m tired of you wasting money on that producer that pretends he cares about the future of your music so that he can keep you spending money, or settling for beats that don’t quite fit what you hear in your head just because you are afraid to start all over building a relationship with someone new.
I’m tired of you having to wait for a spot at the studio to open up before you are able to record an idea that has been buzzing all day in your head. I’m tired of you having to deal with people that don’t take your music career seriously. And I hate that your music has to take a back seat to other artist’s on your label because there is only enough budget for a few artist at a time.
What I want is to see you have an idea for a song in the middle of the night and be able walk to the next room and start recording it. I want you to be able to practice as many times as you want in a day. I want you to be able to write, record, mix and master your own songs. I want you to have your own personal studio. It is time for you to become a self-reliant music creator. A beat maker that does not need to send his beats to someone else to track them out or get them mixed or mastered before he can send them in for a placement. I want you to be able to support your family and have the options to send your children to public school or pay for the best private schools. Time is money and its time you stop wasting both and start your journey to a self-reliant artist.
Why Listen to Me?
I’ve been making a living and supporting my family doing music for more than a decade. I made a decision in 2002 to take my music seriously and never looked back. I’ve had literally thousands of my songs and instrumentals used in television shows, films, and other media campaigns, and have worked with many artists helping them discover and take control of their passions for music. The truth is, I know what it takes to create music that not only I love, but others consider the best selection to use in their projects. The coolest part of all this is I’ve accomplished this with both a small low budget studio setup, and a high-end industry recording studio setup.
I used to make music with whatever equipment I could get my hands on. Whether it was at a friend’s house or a keyboard I borrowed. I was hungry to make my music. But soon it got hard to borrow equipment or make my music at a friend’s house, and this frustrated me because I had so much music I wanted to make.
I was in the same position as you are right now. People can be flaky, especially if it is not clearly defined what’s in it for them. I had enough of the sessions I was looking forward to for weeks being canceled or flat out forgotten about. Yes, I could have just looked for more business-minded/professional studios, however, there was just too much pain and frustration associated with counting on someone else to make my music.
I started my own recording studio where I started off with about ten clients and made nearly $2,000 a week selling beats, mixing, mastering, recording local talent and photography, and designing album graphics. I pretty much did everything needed to help the artist get their projects done.
Because I wanted to be able to help my clients with whatever they needed for their projects, I had to learn many music software applications and music equipment to solve problems, this made my services even more valuable. During this time I made every mistake possible. I bought equipment and software I did not need. But through this I was also able to understand what equipment and software worked for which types of genres, which equipment was actually needed, and how much I actually needed to spend to get the quality I was looking for.
You will make mistakes too, if not the same ones I did. The truth is, getting things wrong and making mistakes is part of getting it right. It is in the mistakes and poor decisions that we actually grow and get better at what we are passionate about. This book is a guide to help you avoid making the same mistakes I did when I was figuring out how to build a studio that was ideal for my needs.

Music is powerful. It is one of the only things in the world that can both explain and influence emotion. And this music is in all of us. I believe everyone has the capacity to create music in some form, it just needs to be activated. The sad thing is that many people go their whole lives never hearing the music that is inside of them, never being able to truly express their emotions.
Since you are reading this book, I’m going to assume you have discovered that there is music in you, congratulations. However, the real beauty of the music inside of you comes from being able to play your music back for yourself and others. And in order to do that, you will need to be able to capture it first. That is where this book comes in. This book is about the tools you need to capture your music.
