It was as far as I can remember almost four years ago, by now. We, my wife Louise, and I had decided now when the kids have grown up. And we are living all alone again, and the kids have their own families. Let's get ourselves a dog. We spoke about it for a while, and when we were ready for the big step, we decided it had to be a pedigree, and it had to be a female.

We had some trouble choosing the brand, or is it called what sort of, or, what kind of dog. We were later told it is called what breed of dog. And the only thing we had decided were, it had to be a female. While looking through the selection that our local Pet-stores had in stock, we both fell in love with a dark brown Doberman pup; she had a few light brown spots on her legs, and on her chest and on her face, or nose.

Our oldest son, Jessy Cromwell. Didn’t like our choice, he said. Mom, and Dad, a Doberman Pincher is not a family dog, they are killers. That’s why the security companies use them and the German shepherds. How do you think the two of you can handle a fully-grown Doberman? They will grow to almost a hundred pound.

Well my name is Professor Jack Cromwell. And I am specializing in DNA research, and my wife is Louise Cromwell. To start with in the pet store, and at the first look at this little pup, we decided that she was the one for us. This little Pup tried to jump out of the small box she was in. We could see that she tried hard. She moved back about half of her seize. Concentrated for a good fifteen seconds, moved forwards and then she jumped. There was only one problem. She jumped with her front legs, but she didn’t know that you had to include the back legs as well, if you want to make a jump.

Everyone in the store had a good laugh at the star of the show. But that didn't affect our little lady Doberman. She tried another two times, but each time she forgot to include her back legs.
