    Chapter One

The snow fell softly outside her window. Heidi Wilson watched as it drifted aimlessly to the ground. She felt as listless as the snow. Once her future was so clear but her sudden need to find love and enjoy life was overshadowing those dreams.

She saw her reflection in the window. Her emerald green eyes staring back at her. She always forgot how striking she was because she was unable to turn the heads of the guys she liked.

Sure, Mike Lamb had awakened new desires in her. He had kissed her and made her comfortable. His beefy football player arms and rough hands had were nice pressed against her smooth skin. She remembered how great his butt looked when he walked away. Perfectly round and it filled his Wranglers well. Even his brown eyes were perfect and Heidi recalled getting hypnotized in them.

Heidi smiled and nodded as Dan winked and left the room. Her mind drifted back to the other night. Dan was out with the usual blonde-headed bimbo who was killing her brain cells on a fruity drink. In Heidi’s opinion, she didn’t have that many more to sacrifice. The girl was drunk and all over Dan. He didn't seem to mind. Heidi had gone in to pick up a take-out order when she saw them.

Drunk and uninhibited, the woman stuck her hand up Dan’s shirt and was commenting on his chest. Dan was clearly embarrassed and tried to push the woman off him. When his eyes met Heidi’s, he blushed and attempted to calm down the blond bimbo. She in turn noticed Heidi looking at them and she looked into
