    INTRODUCTION

This book is written for three categories of people – Christians who are unaware that there is a purpose for their lives, believers who have missed the will of God, and those who find it difficult to walk in what they know to be the will of God for their lives.

There is a calling for every believer; everyone is saved for a peculiar mission regardless of how inconsistent your relationship with God might have been. God has given you a mission to accomplish while you live, and you must strive to find this mission and accomplish it.

Life is never meant to be a struggle; neither is it meant to be an unsolvable puzzle. Most Christians suffer badly through life because they have not found their purpose in life. Sometimes, they lack adequate insight to what God wants them to do. They may be very good but never fit in anywhere. They may have all it takes but never function anywhere. It is like holding the right keys but struggling to find the right doors. Here, keys refer to their talents, divine gifts and misplaced doors refer to the fruitless ventures they undertake.

Is there a purpose for every Believer? Does God have a unique mission for each Christian? Should a Christian just attempt anything just because he feels for it? Or is there a perfect place God wants us to be? If there is, then how do we know it so we can walk into it? This book seeks to help you find answers to these questions and also keys and biblical directions that will lead you into fulfilling the purpose of God for your life.

It is my prayer that The Holy Spirit will walk you through this book and grant you an appreciable depth of understanding even as you embark on finding, aligning and/or realigning your life to the purpose of God.

    CHAPTER ONE

    WHERE ARE YOU NOW?

Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling… - 2 Tim. 1:9

The scripture above tells us that God has saved us and called us with a holy calling. Indeed, we have a purpose. And, as a believer, the purpose of God for your life is what God wants you to accomplish as you journey through life. The reason you wake up every day is because that purpose has not been fully accomplished. You are not dead, because there is a purpose for your life; you must find it and walk in it.

    Where Are You Now?

And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, where art thou? – Genesis 3:9

God asked Adam this question not because He didn’t know where Adam was. Rather, He wanted to help Adam see that he was not where he was supposed to be. We cannot figure out our way to fulfilling Gods purpose for our lives, if we cannot accurately tell our present location. This question, in other words, seeks to reveal the extent to which our present lives have veered off the original plans God has for us.

Many people are struggling in life now, and many more are just living at the mercy of circumstances. Their lives are like Jigsaw puzzles – so complicated to fix. Why all these struggles? Is this why God created life? Is this what life is supposed to bring? Is life meant to be like a web that entangles a man and suffocates him to death? The word of God doesn’t say so.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. – Jeremiah 29:11

His intents are of peace and goodwill to bring us to an expected end. Why all the struggles and hopelessness? If the plan for your life as a Christian has become clumsy and very difficult to live, then it’s a hint for you to start considering where you are and the decisions that could have possibly led to your current location.

    How Far Have You Deviated?

11 And he said, a certain man had two sons:

12 And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living.

13 And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living.

14 And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want.

    15 And
