Yeah, that's the story Wick gives. In reality, Wick doesn't share and he just wants to make sure this old friend understands that.

Three days to spend not jealously watching over his lover's every move—at a campground in Flagstaff, Arizona, no less. How much trouble could Wick possibly find?

    Wicked Winds

    Chapter One

Explain to me again why we didn't take Archer up on his offer to use his private jet? Ned questioned Wick, leaning down and talking quietly in his ear.

Dude, you heard Zack. He wanted me to give him my itinerary for every minute I was out of Atlanta.

Do you blame him after that disappearing act you pulled last year?

Wick elbowed Ned in the gut. Oh, if memory serves me, you were an accomplice to that disappearing act.

Uh huh, so you told him—

I told him to put a ring on it or get the fuck out of my face. Wick shrugged as the security line they stood in moved up a few steps.

Ned chuckled behind him, causing Wick to grit his teeth—knowing full well what point Ned was getting at but refusing to make it easy on the damn insufferable man.

And how did Zack take that?

I don't want to talk about this anymore. Wick moved up another couple of spaces.

    Wick…

Wick shuddered as Ned used that tone with him. If they weren't in a crowded airport, he damn sure would've dropped to his knees and given Ned twenty. There's nothing to say. Zack's fine with my decision. We even kissed good-bye, a long, wet, tongue-dueling exchange of saliva.

Ned coughed, other people might have called it a snort of laughter, but Wick was positive it was a simple cough from getting some dust caught in his throat. Could that be because you typed up an itinerary for him and handed it over before we left?

Gasping, Wick grabbed his heart and stumbled to the left, propping his hand on top of a wobbly stanchion that defined the way the line should wind. I most certainly did no such thing. What kind of man do you take me for?

No, Wick doesn't type. He had me do it and email it to Zack.

Benedict, Wick seethed into his earpiece.

He ignored Banyu's goddamn giggles, a recently developed habit. He seriously had to limit his boy's time with the other twinks in the family.

Ned nodded knowingly when Wick glanced back at him. "So remind me again why we are about to get imprisoned for what I know you have in your carry-on bag—and most definitely on your person—instead of taking Archer up on his offer to use his private jet?"

He stared up at the taller man and shrugged. I didn't like the tone Zack used with me.

Everyone uses that tone with you…wait a second…

Wick smirked when he saw the wheels finally click into place and his boyfriend's eyes light up with understanding.

Oh no. You have something planned. No, Wick. TSA are not the people to test out new toys on, he whispered forcefully.

Wick smiled a thousand watt smile and patted him on his chest, twisting his nipple inconspicuously under the thin piece of fabric. It's all good. Banyu stands by his products.

You're gonna love this one, Ned!

Yeah, trust us. Wick turned back around and moved up to the conveyor belt that dragged items into the mouth of the X-ray machine. Oh looky there, Ned. It's showtime.

    Tell me when.

Not yet, Banyu. Wick hefted his carry-on and placed it on the belt.

Banyu, how well does Wick pay you? Because I doubt it's enough to cover our bond.

Wick rolled his eyes. That man of his really needed to learn how to relax.

He watched his bag roll toward the machine, stopping every time a parcel was front and center for the TSA officer to examine.

Only one more… he muttered under his breath.

I really hate this part of our relationship. Ned barely spoke, but his voice came in loud and clear through the earpiece.

Both Wick and Banyu snorted at that remark. Wick knew for a fact Ned loved the thrill just as much as he did. If he had to hide or deny it to sleep better at night, well, that was where Wick came in.

    Now?

    Patience, grasshopper.

Ned hauled his much lighter and smaller maroon carry-on onto the belt behind Wick's, setting his shoes, wallet, and keys in one of those banged up gray containers after it.

The belt lurched forward one more time, Wick's bag barely touching the thick rubber curtain guarding the entrance of the machine.

    And in it went.

    Now, Banyu.

    I'm all over it.

Wick observed the man whose eyes widened as he studied the screen—studied the contents of a bag which now miraculously showed as a wide variety of woman's undergarments and a cute pair of five inch strappy heels. When the agent jerked his gaze up to stare at the owner of the bag, a saucy wink and kiss were blown his way.

    Wick approached the body scanner.

Walking in…now, he mumbled under his breath as he entered the high-tech replacement for regular metal detectors, planting his feet and hands where the decals instructed.

The scanner only had time to do one rotation before a short and stout middle-aged man requested him to please step out.

Wick blinked, looking at the man as if he didn't understand. Me? Oh, of course. No problem. The drawl in his voice suddenly strong and melodic.

Again, solely for the earpiece's microphone, he whispered, I'm out, Ned's about to enter…oh shit, and his bag too. Fuck, did I miss his bag? Wick spun around and saw the maroon bag exit the machine.
