The paintings while seeming somewhat abstract each have a definite story within them. The story is usually seen only after intense study when suddenly the image pops out never to be missed again.
The painting are quite fun and joyful also.

Kathy Mitro

I was born in the United States in the small town of Mount Lebanon in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. I grew up as the middle child in a family of four. I have been creative all my life but did not start painting until late in life. I started writing poetry in the year 2015. My draw to the field of art was inspired by my spiritual search for the meaning of life and it's ties to a new world order of compassion and empathy. Inspired by my great grandmother I am drawn to the specter of hunger and feel that starvation can be ended in this lifetime.
