Molly & Maxi

About this ebook
Molly is a mad, lovable terrier cross from the local animal rescue centre; Maxi is her best friend, a younger black Labradoodle. Since the two met while playing in a field near their homes in South Wales, they have been the greatest of friends, and so have their owners, Pat Danter and Sue Robinson. This little book is a tribute to the two dogs, and the many other animals which have enhanced Pat’s life and those of her friends.

My friends Sue and Ann, who knew Molly so well, often said You should write a book about her
. The years went by and when I looked back on the time I had had with Molly I thought maybe
. So I did. I’ve so enjoyed putting pen to paper. I sincerely thank you, Sue and Ann.
My friend Gillian has given her time to help me. She has used her computer for many of the tasks. This wouldn’t have happened without her. Thank you Gillian.

FOREWORD
If you lived in our town you would need no introduction to Molly. She is well known to many people, for various reasons.
Maxi and I met Molly about eight years ago. It seems like a lifetime. We know her and her little idiosyncrasies very well.
One of the good things about Molly is that she entertains herself. Just take her to a wide open space, a field or the beach, and she’s off. It gives you a chance to read a book, talk to people or just daydream, safe in the knowledge that she’ll return about two hours later. She’ll have explored every nook, cranny and pool and chased anything worth chasing. She may be soaking wet and dirty, but she will have had a wonderful time and be tired enough to go home. The only downside to this is that people who see her alone think she is either lost or abandoned.
My Maxi is a pretty laid back sort of fellow. They complement each other. When we go out together Molly will bark at other dogs if they get too close, because sometimes Maxi isn’t too keen on approaching other dogs. If we really have absolutely no idea where Molly is, Maxi will go to find her.
Our Molly is loving, good fun, headstrong and willful. Her energy and outlook on life belies her age. We all love her. I sometimes think if she had been born a cat she would have been long gone by now. Good luck Molly. I hope you have many more fun-filled years ahead of you.
