About this ebook
It is 1860 and Fanny is going west to be a mail order bride.
Having decided to go after her own happiness, Fanny answers an ad for a Mail order Bride on the matrimonial news. Little does she know that her groom to be is the twin brother of her brother-in-law who is married to her twin sister Emaline. The chemistry between them is instant, and they get married two days later in a little wooden church.
Unfortunately tragedy strikes in the form of sickness only months after their marriage. The Doctor discovers a painful abscess in her lower abdomen that requires treatment he is, unfortunately, unable to provide.
Morris considers going to get a Native medicine man to come treat his wife, but she will hear none of it. That is against her faith, she ascertains.
It is time for Morris to make a desperate move to bring change to the situation. One his wife has no idea about but works to bring healing, all the same. Their love for God and each other is what pulls them through, and they enjoy living as an ordinary married couple once she is back on her feet.

Chapter 1
Tobaccoville, Virginia 1860
Fanny watched as her Mother got ready to go to work at Blue Jack’s farm. It was the start of another lonely day for her as she stayed behind taking care of things around their single roomed house. This had been home to the family ever since Blue Jack took pity of the woman who came begging for work with two young twins tugging at her skirts. Left with no otherwise after her husband died from hitting his head in a fall at the well, she had gone in search of any work to keep the twins from starving. Fanny hardly recalled the day as the twin sisters were only nine then. Now, so many years later she was all grown and still lived in the same shack. Mother had been given the house to live in after getting a job as a laborer on Blue Jack’s farm.
"Be sure to fetch enough water from the well. There is not much left in stock for use.’’ Mother told her as she left.

Concern for her fate each day occupied her thoughts the entire time. Only after she received her letter about two months ago had she known peace. The letter had been sent a while ago but got delayed in the post, arriving months later. Emaline had written to her about her wedding to Aden and how happy she was to have found a Christian husband. Despite having been against the idea of a Mail Order Bride, she now had no problem with it.
Rather reserved in comparison to her sister, she all along had no problem staying on her own after mother left for the farm. However lately she had started longing for company. Even though she had a few friends whom she visited with regularly, the feeling would not go away. Now with the knowledge that Emaline was doing well, married to a man she had met through the mail, the loneliness bug bit even more. Emaline had twice sent them some cash to get by strengthening her faith of being a Mail Order Bride.
It was on those grounds she had responded to an
