Well hey there.

I'm walking up to my best friend's house, admiring the daisies she just planted last week. Sophie, of course, has always been an amazing gardener. Her back yard is full of flowers, medicinal and otherwise. There have been plenty of times when I couldn't afford to go see the doctor, so instead I came to Sophie and was somehow healed the next day.

Hey! I love the flowers, I say, smiling up at her. She is such a natural beauty, with a heart shaped face and wide green eyes. Well thank you, Kate. I think they brighten up my house a bit. Come on in. Following her into her house, I am immediately met with the smell of incense. Nag Champa today, I think. The scent is powerful and always makes me feel tired. There's a clattering of wind chimes coming from the back porch as they're met by the gentle wind. How was school?

As we both sit down at the small table next to her front window, Sophie pours me some fragrant tea and slides a bowl with some home made dark chocolates to me. It's almost as if she knows I had a bad day. I guess she's always been empathic or something, always knowing exactly what to say and when I was upset. Sometimes I think we might be soul mates, but unlike her I don't believe in silly things like that. No, I'm much more interested in the real world, in science over magic. But that's never stopped me from enjoying my time with my best friend.

I sigh and take a sip of the tea. I don't know, it was okay I guess. I had that dream again last night though, and then today all these beautiful women kept hitting on me.
