    1.  The Characteristics of A Persian Cat

Persian cats have been found to be a cat that relates well to their owners and strangers, as well as children, if they are brought up with them, but they will usually not take a great deal of notice of a child, unless it really irritates the cat.

The old-fashioned Persian cat had a flattish face, but not as flat as it is now and with this refinement has come many problems, such as breathing and eye troubles, where the eye is often covered by fur and hard to get at.  The old-fashioned version had shortened muzzles, but nowadays, this is much of an exaggeration and brings many more of these problems to the surface.

North America especially has severe troubles with Persian cats, including problems with delivery of kittens and other things that can go wrong.  Persian cats are very friendly, lay back, and are the nearly perfect cat for people who live in apartments, or are elderly.

Persian cats have less length to their legs than other breeds, so they are not as good at jumping up great heights, a boon for most people especially those who do not enjoy being ambushed by a cat from on top of a cupboard.  The proper version that most people do prefer has a wide face and very large, bright eyes, although they can be almost any color.

When combined with any other breed, as well as the flattish face, although this is not often carried forward, the thick fluffy tail usually comes through.  Therefore, should you get a kitten from the pound or anywhere that its tail shows thick and fluffy
