Way of the Ancients

About this ebook
Way of the Ancients is a fictional adventure story. It exemplifies life on a much grander scale than what is commonly regarded as acceptable in polite society.
The story takes you on many adventures as narrated by one of the characters in the tale. It also illustrates how differing alien species form a dubious relationship underlining the characters intent, and how the results surprise us.

Way of
The Ancients
Part 1
By M. A. Mungaray
Prologue
"I must have done poorly at the first teaching. Why have me return to the same teaching level to meet the High Priest? ‘You will attend the next ORIGINS teaching. You will meet with and be given instruction by the High Priest.’ I can only assume that I, TRE-BLIG, did not do well the first time. I remember much of the teaching. The lesson was clear to me. I thought I was ready for the next teaching. I was ready to move on to the next life. Obviously, whatever I missed was critical, or they would not have me attend the ‘ORIGINS’ teaching a second time."
I am uncomfortable returning to the home world of The Ancients a second time for the same teaching. I am far from my home world of FASALI. The fact the High Priest commanded my return brings on feelings of inadequacy, and I feel unprepared. Now here I am on this transport vessel approaching ASENTUM the home world of The Ancients…again. My self-absorbed ranting has blinded me to one important fact. This second visit to the temple came at the bidding of The High Priest YDNAR.
Your second visit to the temple; is it not?
Asked the greeter as he helped me with my luggage. How would you know?
I asked. You have a certain ‘knowing’ look about you that gives it away. It's like you are certain of what you know; not because they taught you, but as though the teaching only reaffirmed what you already guessed to be true.
He continued as we boarded the surface conveyance that would carry me to my lodgings next to the temple, Each cycle the priests select their proteges from the thousands that come for the teaching. The High Priest YDNAR selected you. It is rare when he selects someone to the next teaching.
I said nothing keeping my gaze fixed on the passing view.
My thoughts are running, What could he mean? This is the same teaching I attended last time. Is there no higher teaching after this?
The greeter interrupted my thoughts saying, I’ve seen that look before also. It's like you are in the world, taking part of society; and yet, you feel as though you don’t belong here.
The greeter smiled and said, That is precisely why The High Priest YDNAR selected you.
I quickly turned my head to the greeter saying, What do you know of the Next Level of teaching?
The greeter replied, "Me? Nothing! If I had to venture a guess; I would begin with feeling in the world but somehow feeling apart from the world’. What you think, I don’t know. I would think I am part of something much more than just the world. That provides me opportunity to learn more. Wouldn’t it?" We stopped in front of the lodgings just as the greeter said, But what do I know? I’m just a greeter.
Entering my quarters I found and read an invitation, You are to come to the rectory of the temple before the teaching. You will meet with The High Priest YDNAR. He will explain.
The greeter was right. Being in the world but somehow feeling apart from the world drives me to learn more.' I look at the note which read, YDNAR will explain,
The rectory divided into semi-private areas where the priests would meet with their student. The areas were empty save one. I am smart enough to know I should humble himself in the presence of the High Priest. So I bow and until I am asked to enter. Come forward,
said the High Priest as he turned to face me.
Still humbling myself, I approached with head bowed, and hands open with palms up as a symbol of service to the High Priest. That is proper when interacting with your superior.
I had a gnawing feeling in my gut. I have heard this voice before, and recently. YDNAR continued, So where was this attitude yesterday when you arrived and was so warmly greeted?
I then realized, The Greeter. He is The High Priest?!
YDNAR began, The teaching gives more information than can be absorbed in one learning period. Teachings propose acts to perform. Therefore, experience must follow teaching to indicate the importance of taking such actions. Experience gives merit to the lesson learned. Without experience, knowledge gained by teaching is theory. So, you have returned to begin your experience with the teaching.
I owed an apology to the High Priest, I spoke and offered, I beg your forgiveness for my arrogance, yester….
But YDNAR began the instruction before I could finish my thought. I am not the one whom you must ask forgiveness. Also, you do not beg forgiveness with words, but show your regret with your actions.
I asked, When will you become the greeter again so I can show regret for my behavior yesterday?
YDNAR smiled and responded, Never. You have already been greeted. The greeter is no longer needed. If I dressed the part and showed up in a delivery conveyance, from this point you will always know me as the High Priest YDNAR. And so, you have forever lost the opportunity for repentance with the greeter.
YDNAR continued his instruction while leading me through the rectory. As we move forward change happens…as change happens opportunities are altered.
He continued, Now you must show your regret with all others above and beneath your station.
He laughed as he said, This puts you in the perfect position to step onto the Next Level of your teaching.
YDANR walked purposefully through the rectory whose walls were adorned with symbols. The large symbols represented realms, while the lesser symbols represented the laws of operation within each realm. The symbols you see here represent the realms and laws of life. Operation outside the law will end life in that realm of existence. Follow the law of life and ascend, or return to learn the lesson.
I hurried my steps trailing the high priest. Unsure, I tried taking in all that was displayed on the walls. The surroundings were unfamiliar. Come. This is where your journey begins,
said YDNAR. From this point your actions (or lack of them) will impact on the outcome of events. You can no longer place responsibility for your existence upon anything or anyone other than yourself.
The staircase slowly spiraled up the inside of the columns which formed the great towers of the temple. We reached a place several stories up where YDNAR turned and looked me in the eye saying, You will observe the teaching from here. You will see and record the effect on the listeners. See the teaching in action, observe the result, and gain understanding so that you will know how to proceed. You now begin the next level on your journey to becoming an ascended being
. Ascended being…? Me??
I thought to myself, but asked nothing.
I didn’t notice this causeway the last time I was here,
I said with a surprised tone. You see less when concerned with yourself and what you can learn. A bit self-centered, wouldn’t you say?
Replied YDNAR.
Today your focus has been broadened to include the well-being and nurturing of others. Broaden your focus to observe and learn. Then you can lend yourself to good works,
he concluded. YDNAR then pointed directing me to a window seat in the observation platform saying, From there you will observe the learning and not the teaching. We will discuss what you observed after the teaching.
I watched YDNAR continue his ascent to the causeway where the other priests were gathering for the teaching.
Looking across the audience I thought, If I could only get a sense from them.
I wanted to reach out with my senses and connect with them. YDNAR while approaching his place, sensed what I was up to…………..and sent a thought, Right idea…bad technique
. Then he sent another thought, Quit trying to do it your way. Remember your directions and follow them.
I pondered over the instructions given to me. The High Priest had said, I must interpret and record the result of the laws of life in action. My actions or lack of them, will impact the outcome of events. I understand. I am forced to listen more intently as I focus on the students. Seeing their reaction to the teaching heightens my understanding.
My thoughts begin to race again, YDNAR must observe me in the same manner. He is right…my focus has been broadened. I must experience life taking place in others, and recognize that it’s also my experience. This is my story.
The following are the observations of TRE-BLIG
Chapter 1
ORIGINS
The Teachings of The Ancients
All at once
, began the low keyed voice that spoke with matter-of-fact confidence. Creation happened at once. When God spoke all things appeared creating a BANG that is being heard throughout eternity. It did not begin there.
So says the voice of the High Priest YDNAR as I began to jot down my notes.
TRE-BLIG Notes: This is the planet where beings first came into a form of tactile existence. Physicality was first experienced here. The Ancients are more spiritual than carnal so they are rarely seen as they go about their duties. Students come from all regions of the galaxy to learn of life. They are conscious of all things and are aware of spirituality. So they are present to learn the mysteries of life.
My thoughts were beginning to race far ahead of the teaching and began to form my observations:
At this point students come before the high priest for the ultimate lessons of Life, Light, Harmony, Balance and Abundance; as opposed to Chaos, Corruption, Consumption, Darkness, and Death. The ultimate lesson in polarities. Children of the creator cannot avoid this lesson.
Choices made by living conscious beings will impact on all that exists. There is no excuse. There is no plea of ignorance. And so, they come to the great temple. Students are compelled to be present. To be attentive, taking to heart the teachings of the high priest.
I turn my attention back to the high priest as YDNAR continues.
Thought permeates this planet like rivers of light streaming throughout the city. Every color and hue radiates like an ever-changing rainbow capturing the attention of the onlooker. When focused on an object the light of thought energy stops. Only then can one see the beauty of thought becoming a material substance, as the light of life now clarifies the object of your focus,
said YDNAR with reverence in his tone.
I wrote my thoughts as they came to me. The spiraling towers reached forth to infinity. The Great Temple of Spiritual Mysteries projects far above and beyond all other buildings of the majestic city; as well as the surrounding communities that make up the mega-metropolis.
Enormous monoliths form the walls of the Amphi Theater. They are adorned with ancient symbols representing the laws of life. Above the city sized amphitheater the Arch of the Council stretches across the expanse. Ornate energy cells stretch across the great arch emitting light energy. Illuminating the twelve seats of the council, and the principal seat of the high priest. Other energy cells spread high throughout the expanse appearing as distant stars. A multicolored ceiling appeared like the great gaseous nebula PYRAM. The nebula that contained the source of life-giving elements for all things physical.
Then there came an imposing thought, Pay attention!
YDANR continued: The Supreme Consciousness of God impacted all life with His thought energy. The voice of God prompted the eternal BANG that brought everything into existence. Including the laws that govern every realm of life,
said YDNAR gesturing to the symbols on the monoliths with solemn humility.
The buzz and hum above the crowd diminished as the last eager apprentice entered and continued to his place. Better late than never,
was the expression on YDNAR’s face as the twelve-member council stood and bowed; a sign to acknowledge the presence of the late arrival. The light energy around the council seats grew brighter demanding attention to the ceremonial lesson. The bright light energy illuminated the noble gowns of the council outlining their silhouetted form without exposing their bodies. As the council sits, the aged and wise high priest begins again to make public the unknown mysteries of life.
My hand is experiencing fatigue but I continue my notes: Students come to hear the profound mysteries that tie all living things to Supreme Consciousness and to each other. Each student is taught and made aware they must have an effectual conscious. Otherwise they become tyrants; nothing more than bullies with or without sophistication. And so, the Ancients continue teaching the mysteries so as not to lose them in the pursuit of a manufactured secular existence.
The High Priest YDNAR begins again:
Everything began as nonphysical life. God decided on life and the order of things. He then determined the laws that govern life in every dimension, and every realm of existence. Supreme Consciousness gave and continues to give thought to life. Life does not exist without God’s conscious consideration. Without Supreme Consciousness there is only utter darkness and chaos.
The priest YDNAR looked around the auditorium to allow the last apprentice to settle in before he continued.
Everything is in orbit. Everything held its’ place until Supreme Consciousness put thought energy into giving life. He provided laws necessary to sustain life in every realm. Supreme Consciousness accomplished the thought process for the design of life. He infused everything with the Breath of Life. The force of all that combined expended energy spoke everything into orbit with a BIG BANG. Life orbit around Supreme Consciousness. The minuscule and unfathomable also orbit Supreme Consciousness.
"The law originated from the source of life. Consider the atom unseen to the naked eye and yet an electron cloud, orbits protons, and neutrons making up the nucleus. Just as the moons
