    Perfect Sin - Brittany Bing

    Introduction

I will first like to say thank you for reading my first work. It is a great honor for me to present my work to an avid reader like yourself. This is the first book in the Perfect Sin trilogy. I wrote this book to depict controversial issues in modern-day society. Some issues are, but are not limited to child abuse, abortions, pre-marital sex, and gay rights. I will also like to bring to your attention that this book is based on six different people’s perspectives on events that occurred throughout the book. I may warn you that not this book is not only controversial, but can also be offensive to people who have faced, or are currently facing the situations told in this book. As the author, I hope that you do not take any offensive to this novel and that you enjoy Perfect Sin. Now, onto the first chapter!

    Abigail

    11: 30 A.M. St. John’s High School

It was eleven thirty in the morning. I was speed walking to my fourth class of the day. I was running late. I was too busy trying to avoid some cheerleaders that were ready to jump me. I will explain later! I’m in a hurry! I was pacing until I hit my head on his chest. Thud! My worst nightmare. His name was Joshua—Josh for short. I used to call him Joshie when we would hook up after his football practices. He lustfully smiled when he saw me. Josh’s right hand grabbed my left arm.

How you doin’, beautiful? Josh asked me, while kissing me on the cheek. You know, I haven’t seen you after our last hook up. I’m starting to think that you don’t like Joshie anymore.

Josh, I don’t have time for this! I replied, with anger. I’m gonna be late to my class.

Ah, so you’re too good for me now?

    I-I didn’t say tha—

    Thwap!

He slapped me. I fell onto the white, tile floors of the school. I gaze at Josh. My lip was busted. I tasted blood in my mouth, but I got back up. I tried to ignore his antics, but he kept grabbing me. He insisted that I should skip school with him, smoke a blunt, and then have sex. I told him that I wasn’t in the mood for our normal routine.

You’re a nerd now, huh?! You’ve forgotten what you owe me?! I bought you gifts, and gave you money all the time! You’re mine, Abigail!

    Please—I—please!

Josh grabbed my arm, and began to jerk it. My arm cracked my arm a bit. Once I felt my bone pop, I knew that my arm was fractured. I was so focused on getting away from him that I forgot to notice the commotion that we caused. Since I am the outcast of the school, nobody chose to help me. I wailed. I cried, nonstop, for help. Of course, typical high school kids will do what they always do when they see a fight. They all whipped out their iPhones, or Samsung Galaxies and start videotaping everything. If I’m lucky, I’ll be a hit sensation on World Star!

While everyone was recording the fight on their smartphones, Josh suddenly stopped hurting me. He turned around, and he laughed. It’s one of the football players from the school. He’s our star quarterback, and he is very handsome. Tall. Dark. Handsome. Curly, black hair. Muscular. Josh did a handshake with the football player. He smiled, then turned his attention towards me.

Josh, w-who is this? he asked.

Ah, you don’t know her? Josh replies. "It’s Abigail Benson. Very popular in the locker room, and my room."

W-Why is she bleeding? Beating on females again?

Hey, hey! They need to learn when I want them at my house, they need to be there!

    Abigail? he said to me.

Y-Yes? I answered, still in pain.

Josh, get this crowd out of here! And you get out of here! he commanded.

T-Tony, what’s the big deal? Josh whined.

    Get out!

Chill, bro. Come on ya’ll. He’s on that stuff.

The crowd dispersed to their classes. Of course, I was late. Tony glanced at me, and smiled. He placed his arm around me, and wanted to be sure that I was okay. I told him that I wasn’t okay and that my arm was fractured. He looked at my arm and took me to the student affairs office. The staff knows who him because he’s an assistant for them. He signed himself out and asked the office if it is okay if he can sign me out as well. They said it was fine, and he did so.

Let’s go, dear. Tony said to me.

W-Where’re we going? I inquired, confused.

Where else? I’m taking you to the hospital. That arm won’t treat itself.

He chuckles, and I am in love.

    Antonio

    2:00 P.M. St. John’s Hospital

Before heading to the hospital, I stopped by a florist shop to pick up some flowers for Abigail, and Lily, another girl I talk to. I saw the sign. That’s what reeled me in. When I read BUY ONE: GET ONE FOR FREE, I was a lucky man! The trump card is working on me. I always start of nice to the girl, and then, I get what I want. I cut her off. That’s it. It always works. I went to a chocolate shop next, and I read the sign— BUY ONE: GET ONE HALF OFF. God loves me right now!

I drove inside the parking garage, and stepped outside of my silver BMW. I smelled the air—smell of pollution. I didn’t care because Abigail was mine. I didn’t know much about her until the other football players told me two days ago. She was once a bright, and intelligent girl freshman year. She was our valedictorian. She was in a lot of clubs. She was everything. But, the partying lifestyle caught up to her from what I was told. She began sleeping around. The girls at the school hated her because she slept with their boyfriends. And that’s how she became the outcast.

I felt bad for her, somewhat. So, I decided to let her know about the senior send-off party that the football players host every year at Sky Lounge in the downtown area. The party is basically free booze, girls, guys, music, and food. Some people bring in weed to smoke in the bathrooms. The lounge manager and police are paid to not interrupt the night. It is a tradition at St. John’s High School. Normally seniors attend, but it’s rare to find a junior there. The only way juniors can be invited is if a senior invited them, or if they did a sexual favor with the football team.

I entered the hospital, and I signed in at the front office. I mentioned Abigail’s full name, and the nurse nodded her face sadly. She directed me to the photo room, took a photo of me, and handed me my visitor pass. She pointed at which floor to go on. I didn’t know why she nodded sadly until I walked to her floor room.

Not one visitor. I said to myself while looking at the visitor log. W-Where are her parents? W-What’s going on?

I entered Abigail’s hospital room. Abigail was laying on the bed. She had an IV inside her right arm. Her left arm was in a cast. She had a scab on her lip. I sat on the bed where there was space for me to do so. For some reason, I was speechless. I couldn’t stop staring at her! She was light skin. She had black, curly hair
