The Universal Church of Man - Karen Frazier Romero

    MEMBER?

The true intent of this manuscript is to prove that Satan has been meticulously building his false super-church through using careful deceit and the twisting of the Word of God. He has used false religion to gain ground by planting the roots for his very own following who will ultimately worship him instead of worshiping Jehovah God, the creator of Heaven and Earth.

This all began in the Garden of Eden when Adam disobeyed God’s command and ultimately brought sin and death into the world. It then continued to spiral downhill at the Tower of Babel, revealed in the book of Genesis. Now, it has spread to every corner of the earth through false religion and the many new church movements which have been introduced into the church world, taking people away from the truth of the Gospel.

Satan and his entourage of fallen angels have coerced certain individuals over thousands of years into carrying out these devious plans. While his design has slowly come to fulfilment, there was a pivotal time in 1963 when Satan’s reality of his very own church begin to escalate very rapidly. What we are witnessing now is the outcome of this plan!

He has used this persuasive word unity to deceive mankind into joining his one world religion… THE UNIVERSAL CHURCH OF MAN. This religion is all about self-gratification, deification of self and ultimately worship of Lucifer as the spiritual liberator of mankind. It is the complete opposite of God’s instructions of self- denial and the reliance on Jesus’ death on the Cross for our salvation which is written of in the Bible (Luke 9:23).

What I will attempt to reveal in this book is the progression of events beginning with Satan’s plan to make himself higher than God in order to deceive mankind into worshipping him and then his plan to create a one world religion based on worship of himself. In order to lay the foundation, the reader will need to digest historical facts which are intentionally no longer taught in our schools, but nevertheless desperately need to be exposed in order to better understand how this unbelievable deception has been perpetrated. At the core of it all is the crafty work of Satan himself! Please bear with me as I lay this all-important groundwork. While there will not be a written exam at the end of this book, there may be a crucial test of one’s faith.

I urge the reader to ask the one true God with fervent prayer if you have unknowingly joined Satan’s Universal Church of Man without even realizing it. Many will be shocked when faced with the hard hitting facts! What will you do if the evidence reveals that you have been deceived into joining Satan’s universal church? Will you deny it and continue along the same path or will you repent by asking God to forgive you? Your final decision has serious and eternal consequences.

It is my heart’s desire to see every man, woman, boy and girl come to the knowledge of the truth. I am not referring to a subjective truth imagined in the mind of an individual, or a list of laws, rules and regulations drawn up by religious men and church denominations; but the objective truth that God has laid out in His Holy Word, the Bible. The Merriam-Webster definition of the word subjective is, "relating to the way a person experiences things in his or her own mind (my italics). It also states that subjective philosophy is based on feelings or opinions rather than facts."¹ Whereas, the dictionary definition of the word objective is, "based on facts rather than feelings or opinion (my italics)."² When we are talking about someone’s eternal soul and what will become of that soul at the time of death, it is paramount to know what one believes and why! Sadly, if we follow our heart, it could lead to moral corruption and eternal damnation. Jeremiah 17:9 says, The heart is deceitful above all things, desperately wicked, who can know it? The next chapter will deal with man’s fallen state and explain why we are born in this corrupted condition.

Because everything I will attempt to reveal to you in this book will be based upon Scripture, I felt it was important to show that the Bible is most assuredly the inspired Word of God. Many throughout the centuries have attempted to extinguish its credibility and have even tried to change its content hoping to prevent mankind from learning what is written inside this Holy Spirit inspired Book. Reading the true Word of God will convict a person of sin and draw them to the knowledge of God’s objective truth. These are some of the reasons why Satan continually attempts to destroy its authority and to retranslate the Scriptures making them less effective on mankind. This chapter is entitled The Yardstick for Truth because it is so important to have a solid basis for our beliefs. For me and many others, that measurement of truth is the Scriptures found within the pages of our Bible. Hebrews 4:12 describes the Bible when it says, "For the Word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."

We currently live in a day where the Bible has been taken out of schools and we are hard-pressed to even find people carrying Bibles to church anymore. Bibles were once was used on a daily basis to teach children morals, historical data and especially the most essential thing a child can learn, which is salvation through the blood of Jesus Christ alone. Personally, I am a product of the generation where the Bible was not used in school and I attended a religious Roman Catholic school from Kindergarten until 12th grade. I never read the Bible until after my own eyes were opened when I accepted Jesus Christ as the Lord of my life and the Saviour of my soul at 32 years of age. It was then when I realized how unbelievably important it is to read the Word of God and also just how amazing this Book truly is!

The Bible is a fascinating book that can be read from cover to cover as a story. It is the account of God’s creation and His plan to redeem mankind after the fall of man in the Garden of Eden. The actual story of the Bible is really quite simple to comprehend if one can understand who Jesus is, why He came the first time and why He is coming again. Jesus Christ is the incarnate Word of God. In John 1:1, 14 it says, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God… And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us (my italics)." Jesus is the complete fulfillment of the Word of God. His sole purpose for becoming man and coming to this earth was to redeem mankind after the fall of man due to Adam’s disobedience to God. Jesus accomplished this precisely as God had desired. A very simple synopsis of the story of the Bible is: man’s creation by God; man’s fall by the temptation of Satan; and man’s redemption through the death of Jesus on the Cross.

The Old Testament consists of the books of the Bible written before Jesus’ birth and the New Testament contains the books written after the conception and birth of Jesus. Did you know that there are over 300 Old Testament prophecies describing the coming Messiah and that Jesus Christ fulfilled each and every one perfectly? The entire 53rd chapter of the book of Isaiah is mind-blowing account of what Jesus would endure to be our Saviour. What is so incredible is that this chapter in Isaiah was written almost 800 years before Jesus was even born! Once a person studies prophecy and realizes how God foretold much of what happened hundreds, and even thousands of years before it ever occurred, it is hard to refute the fact that there is a God and that He is in control of all happenings. It also demonstrates that the other events prophesied in the Bible, especially the coming antichrist system, the great tribulation, and the second coming of Jesus, will also come to pass.

One of the biggest obstacles in understanding the Bible is grasping the Old Testament. It is nearly impossible to comprehend the New Testament without a solid understanding of the Old Testament. The word testament simply means covenant. The old covenant was originally made by God through Abraham in the book of Genesis. This is where the lineage of God’s chosen people, the Israelites, began with the seed of Abraham. The laws and sacrificial system were given to Moses 430 years later to instruct the children of Israel. This sacrificial system directly pointed to the sacrifice that Jesus would make on the Cross. It showed how the shed blood of a sacrificial animal was used as a covering of sin for the children of Israel and then, in the new covenant, how the shed blood of Jesus would take away the sin of the entire world for those who would believe in that atoning sacrifice. A great way to explain the Old and New Testaments is that the Old Testament is the New Testament concealed and the New Testament is the Old Testament revealed!

Paul stressed the importance of the Scriptures in II Timothy 3:15-16 when he said, "And that from a child you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise unto Salvation through Faith which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is given by Inspiration of God, and is profitable for Doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in Righteousness…" Among many other important statements, Paul says, All Scripture is given by Inspiration of God… The Bible was written by people chosen by God and under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. It provides the historical proof that Jesus came, died and was resurrected. People travel to Jerusalem all of the time to visit these historical sites and even walk through the tomb where it is believed that Jesus’ lifeless body laid before His Resurrection. The cities, mountains and rivers that are mentioned in the Bible still exist today, even though some of the names have been changed over the years. It is the only book of its kind that contains historical evidence for real events in real places with real people who actually existed. No other sacred writings can boast this claim!

A person will have much opposition in trying to explain God’s plan of salvation to someone who does not believe that the Bible is the true inspired Word of God. Some religions use small portions of the Bible as a foundation for their religious doctrines, but then ignore the rest of the Book. For example, the Roman Catholic Church uses the Bible and what they refer to as sacred tradition as a basis for their religious doctrines. When the Bible and sacred tradition contradict one another, then their faithful followers are to accept the sacred tradition over what is written in the Bible. This is taking the word of man over the Word of God! In St. Josephs Annotated Catechism, it says, …the sacred text must be rightly understood, which is the role of the professional exegetes under the guidance of the Church…³ The above quotation is stating that a lay person is not capable of interpreting Scriptures and that it can only be understood by their church hierarchy. This is to purposely intimidate their faithful and discourage them from reading the Bible. The Bible was even labeled a forbidden Book to laymen and placed on the index of forbidden books by the Roman Catholic Council of Toledo in A.D. 1229.⁴ Councils such as these comprise the formation of Roman Catholic doctrines that are created by their spiritual leader, the pope.

Upon further research, it became apparent that the Bible was a serious threat to those who propagated religion because those who read the Bible would ultimately realize that organized religion was diametrically opposed to God’s plan of salvation written of in the pages of the Word of God. As a result, those reading and translating the Word of God were burned at the stake and tortured in the most heinous ways by the hierarchy of the Roman Catholic Church. This time period became known in history as the Dark Ages because the good news of the Gospel that Jesus Christ came as the light of the world, (John 8:12, John 9:5) to set men free was kept from the weary masses of people who were in bondage to the Church of Rome. God continually warned us in the Bible through his prophets and apostles of the impending deception that would occur after Jesus’ ascension into Heaven which was recorded in the book of Acts.

I cannot stress enough how very important it is to read and understand the true Word of God because Satan is extremely deceptive! He will form a counterfeit christ and a counterfeit gospel to take people away from the true way of salvation, which is only by the blood that Jesus shed on the Cross to pay our sin debt. Jesus promised that His followers would be persecuted and even killed for His namesake. In Matthew 24:9, He said, Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you. And in II Timothy 3:12-13, it is written, Yes, and all who will live Godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.

The Apostle Paul warned that after his own departure that grievous wolves (Acts 20:29) would come and lead the sheep astray. In Acts 20:31 he said, Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn everyone night and day with tears. Furthermore, Peter warned in II Peter 2:1-2 saying, But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord Who bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of Truth shall be evil spoken of.

Down through the centuries, true Christians were tortured and killed by a succession of Roman Emperors or Caesars, as they were known. By 313 A.D., the Roman Emperor Constantine would decree the Edict of Milan which resulted in the church and state becoming one under the leadership of one man, who eventually became the pope by name. This letter gave Christians the opportunity to worship as they desired without fear of persecution within the Roman Empire. Many Christians of the early church, tired of persecution, accepted this offer and this acceptance is what meshed the pagan Roman practice of emperor worship, where the reigning emperor was worshiped as god on Earth, with true Christianity.

This new mixture of Christianity and pagan Roman traditions combined to form a universal church which eventually became the Roman Catholic Church, because the word catholic can actually be defined as universal. Constantine set himself up as the leader of this new universal church. As head of the pagan priesthood, he was the Pontifex Maximus and used the same title as head of this new church. The people honored him as Bishop of Bishops, while Constantine called himself the Vicar of Christ,⁵ which is still the official title of the pope of the Roman Catholic Church to this very day. The Greek equivalent of the Latin word vicar means anti, so the title of Vicar of Christ essentially means antichrist.

In 331 A.D., Constantine issued yet another edict that those who had not come under the authority of Rome and the new universal church would be arrested, persecuted and their churches and church records were to be burned. All in all, with Constantine’s new edict, it is a fact that more Christians were persecuted and killed after his alleged conversion to Christianity than before! The universal Roman Catholic Church became the wealthiest institution on the face of the Earth.⁶ In around 354 A.D., Augustine stated that anything decreed by Rome was a closed matter. That was the power and authority that this empire possessed!

By this time in history, the pope was called the Bishop of Rome⁷ or the Vicar of Christ.⁸ The title of pope was adopted in 606 A.D., when Roman Emperor Phocus made Pope Boniface III the universal bishop over all the churches.⁹ This was when the papal power was officially established. Thomas Hobbes wrote in 1691, "… the papacy is no other than the ghost of the deceased Roman Empire, sitting crowned upon the grave thereof."¹⁰ This is of extreme significance because the Roman Empire was in control when Jesus was here on Earth. Not only was Rome instrumental in His death upon a Roman cross, but they persecuted the followers of Jesus Christ mercilessly!

As a result of the marriage of church and state under Constantine, true Bible-believing Christians were persecuted and killed by the millions. Many fled to Europe and Asia Minor into the mountains to flee from persecution. These people were the true church instituted by Jesus Himself and they looked upon Rome as antichrist! Some of these people were the Waldenses and Albigenses, the forerunners to the great Reformers who succeeded them. They were true Christians defending their faith in Jesus Christ alone, even until death. Jesus said in John 16:2-4, …yea, the time comes that whosoever kills you will think he does God a service. And these things they will do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor Me. But these things I have told you, that when the time shall come, you may remember that I told you of them.

Again, the Dark Ages were named so because the Bible was forbidden among the people. Psalms 119:105 says, Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. In the 13th century, Rome made an effort to extinguish that light and to keep men from the knowledge of the Scriptures. A Roman Catholic priest named Dominic Guzman and Pope Innocent III began the awful Inquisitions threatening death to anyone who possessed the Bible. These murders began with the Albigenses in France. Dominic would often debate with Albigenses and said of them, It is not by the display of power and pomp, or by gorgeous apparel that the heretics wins proselytes, it is by zealous preaching, apostolic humility, by austerity, by seeming it is true, but by seeming holiness.¹¹ He claimed that the holiness of the Albigenses was counterfeit and needed to be stopped. The Albigenses were known for their extensive knowledge of the Scriptures and they also refused the teachings of Rome.

At the Colloquy of Montreal in 1207 A.D., Dominic Guzman, as moderator of the Roman Catholic priesthood, openly debated the leader of the Albigenses. He was clearly defeated in this debate. Guzman was humiliated by his failure…Speaking on behalf of Christ, Guzman promised slavery and death to his opponents.¹² To carry out his threats Dominic would eventually form the Order of the Dominicans which became the chief instrument of Rome’s Inquisition. Two years later, Pope Innocent III ordered the crusade against the Albigenses where tens of thousands lost their lives.

By 1233 A.D., Pope Gregory IX would establish the Inquisition as official Roman Catholic Church doctrine and the next 600 years would be full of bloodshed against Bible believers. The popes began to outlaw the translation, possession and reading of the Bible. John Dowling estimated in 1845 that 50 million people lost their lives to Rome for their Biblical Christian beliefs.¹³ These facts have been covered up by today’s history books and are not taught to students. This cover-up is intentional to protect the Church of Rome from the current generations learning of their bloody past.

The first Bible translated into the English language was attributed to John Wycliffe. By approximately the year 1384, he translated from Latin into Middle English so that the people could adequately read the Scriptures. Because England was primarily Roman Catholic, many of Wycliffe’s followers were put to death by the Church of Rome. Most were burned and if copies of Wycliffe’s translation were found on them, the books were tied to their necks and burned along with them. The Roman Catholic Church despised John Wycliffe with such ferocity that in 1428, they actually exhumed his corpse, smashed it to pieces and then burned the bone fragments again! This was the venomous hatred that the hierarchy of the Roman Catholic Church had against those who exposed their false way of salvation through the teaching of the Word of God.

The main method for the Roman Catholic Church to differentiate between a heretic and a faithful follower of their own religion was in the Roman Catholic doctrine of transubstantiation. This is where they teach that the circular wafer of bread, which is consecrated by a priest during the Roman Catholic Mass, is the true body and divinity of Jesus Christ. True Bible-believing Christians would deny this false doctrine and therefore when the wafer was held in front of their faces and they were forced to make a choice, they would not accept this teaching of Rome and would ultimately lose their lives.

The doctrine of transubstantiation was decreed by Pope Innocent III in 1215 A.D.¹⁴ This doctrine is probably the strongest bondage of the Roman Catholic Church that keeps its followers from straying. Again, it states that the wafer of bread and the wine are mysteriously transformed into the literal flesh and literal blood of Jesus Christ by the clergy member who consecrates the host.¹⁵ Hostia in Latin actually means victim. The consecrated wafer is worshiped as though it is truly Jesus Christ in the flesh. This doctrine is the core of the Sacrifice of the Mass and many people believe that if they do not eat Jesus and drink His blood each week at Mass, then they are committing a mortal sin, which is punishable by an eternity in Hell. Roman Catholic Canon Law states, "If any one shall deny that the body and blood, together with the souls and divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ, and therefore entire
