INTRODUCTION
Swat, a tiny state of Pakistan, became a symbol of struggle, symbol of light to the people of the whole world. People respect this valley because of the contribution of one person. She, a woman whom many considered weak, has made the world a witness of her strength. She is Malala Yousafzai.
Located at the Northwestern region of Pakistan, Swat valley is very close to Islamabad. This state is beautiful with its mountains, green groves, and rivers. It is called the Switzerland of Asia
because of its beauty. People there are very skilled in certain craftsmanship. There were some problems as well. The area was a hilly place so people could not produce any crop. Most of the population was ignorant. The people there were busy with their everyday lives and indifferent towards the whole world. They were conservative, and had no interest of the outside world. They were happy in their own world.
However, such peacefulness did not last forever. Being near the border of Afghanistan, it was constantly opened to face Taliban attacks. In 2001, with the establishment of a religious seminary Maulana Fazlullah, they started their plans of invading the valley. The extreme policies of the followers were enacted to torture the women in the state. They established a law that
