A CELEBRATION OF STARS WHO MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE HELLO! KIND LIST 2021 FROM FIGHTING TO SAVE THE PLANET TO CAMPAIGNING FOR FREE SCHOOL MEALS, THESE DEEDS ARE AN INSPIRATION FOR US ALL

‘To have the capacity to be kind to others, we must first understand how to show compassion to ourselves’

In celebration of World Kindness Day 2021, I am delighted to present HELLO!’s second annual Kind List – a who’s who of the most empathetic individuals in the public eye.

At HELLO! we are passionate about the power of kindness to shape the world and, especially at a time when we are all rebuilding and healing from the past 21 months, we feel a global responsibility to put kindness centre stage, into the spotlight.

Kindness comes in many forms and our list champions notable personalities in eight categories who make an outstanding contribution to making our world a better place – from philanthropy to climate change activism, to using their platform to highlight people and causes that might otherwise not have a voice.

Some key names for 2021 include the Queen, Michelle Obama, Malala Yousafzai, Sir David Attenborough, Angelina Jolie, Lady Gaga, Sir Elton John, Marcus Rashford, Simone Biles, Oprah Winfrey, Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, and the Duchess of Cambridge.

The HELLO! team and I hope that some of the role models on this list will inspire younger generations too – so please join our #HelloToKindness movement and help spread the word.

As well as the list, I’d like to invite you to visit our Kindness digital issue, where you can find additional features on how the royals and stars are spreading kindness – stories including how celebrities are raising their children to be kind and top reads on kindness (you might spot my new in there!).
