About this ebook
Put on your lingerie, have a passionate date night with your husband, and remember to believe and treat yourself as a sexual being. Being in touch with yourself will make you happier, more fulfilled, and make you a better partner.
But that’s not all.
So many experts overlook the everyday practical parts of married life: why having a cleaning schedule is a godsend, how hacking the family recipe box is no longer the domain of your old aunt, and why having hobbies of your own (including “me” time) will help you grow both individually and together.
After 6 years of marriage, Margaret Stevens and her husband have weathered the storm: from job loss to house buying, and balancing home and work life without sacrificing happiness. In this quick and practical guide, you’ll find real-world examples of how to approach money, child-rearing, arguments, and keeping the flame stronger than ever, even after years of being together.

"I Do", Now What? - Margaret Stevens
Setting the Groundwork
Congratulations You’re Officially Married. Now What?
––––––––
Where to start? Do you set up a cooking schedule? Cleaning Schedule? Create new pinterest board for ideas to decorate you home? I agree that there is a lot to consider after getting married. You might be moving into a new place and that means merging your stuff. Or just taking your relationship to a whole new level. Then there are all the gifts to consider. I didn’t think that it would be too hard to get adjusted to living with my husband once we got married. A bit of background on us. I moved out of my parents house the day I got married, at 19. I literally moved all my stuff in that morning and we had a small ceremony that night at 5 pm . Needless to say I had a lot to take care of at once.
But one thing that would have made the transition smoother for us would have been having an experience wife
give me the expectations of what I was getting into. No one told me that there would naturally be things that would bug me and there were simple ways to correct it. It didn't help that I was an only child and had never lived on my own or with anyone but my parents. Nor was I told that we would experience cultural difference since we both come from two different backgrounds, me being spanish and him being Irish, that would trickle into everything from cooking to naming our pets.
There are going to be a ton of things that you cannot predict what will bug you once you are live together. But there are ways to helping the transient become smoother. The most frustrating thing of all is that It will not happen all at once, but instead hit you when you least expect it. This is where having a plan in place and strong lines of communication will help you both
