Aislin
Aislin is of Irish, Danish, English, and Romany (Gypsy) descent. Raised on the Canadian prairies, she spent most of her formative years with her maternal grandfather, following him into his garden and through the woods. He introduced her to the magick of nature. It is the magick of her childhood that has the greatest influence on her today.Aislin is considered a local expert on paganism, the occult, and astrology. She also teaches some local classes on these topics, though The Winnipeg Pagan Teaching Circle. She has been a Wiccan High Priestess since 2000, and has always made an effort to educate seekers when they ask. She founded The Order of the Sacred Star, a group that specializes in educating Pagans of all kinds as well as any other interested parties. Her own children, both boys, are quickly learning the ways of Wicca and seem to embrace nature’s magick with vigor. She is also a professional astrologer and Tarot reader, serving her local community in this capacity as frequently as required. As a writer, Aislin is the author of Tarot Deciphered: Understanding and Using the Tarot, which has become a handbook for those new to the Tarot and its uses. She is also the author of the entire Ashling Wicca Series, which is the first series of books to publish anything about Ashling Wicca and its teachings. If you’re interested in discovering more about Aislin and her work, connect with her through her blog: http://theorderofthesacredstar.blogspot.com/

Reviews for Ashling Wicca, Book Three
2 ratings1 review
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I was looking for something that wasn't quite Traditional Wicca but wasn't not Wicca either. This one did it for me. It's simple enough even for a beginner like me to understand, so I wasn't lost at any point. I also liked that it's more reasonably priced than some of the Wicca books on the market. I'll be buying the next one as soon as I'm done with this one.

About the Workbook
Learning is a great thing. Being exposed to new information and practices is one of the most rewarding experiences any of us can ever have. But there’s more to learning that simply absorbing information. At some point we have to actually apply that knowledge, make it useful in its own way. To do otherwise is to waste a precious opportunity.
The goal of this workbook is to prevent wasted opportunities as they relate to your study of Ashling Wicca. This book gives you a chance to explore the information you learned in Ashling Wicca, Book Three in a whole new way. Bear in mind, however, that I will always assume you have worked through all previous books in the series. That means the lessons and tests in this book assume a familiarity with Ashling Wicca, Book One and its workbook along with Ashling Wicca, Book Two and its workbook. You’ll also need Ashling Wicca, Book Three. Without the knowledge contained in those earlier books, a lot of what you’ll encounter here will quite simply not make any sense.
If you’ve already purchased and worked through Ashling Wicca, Book Three, you can start on the tests and exercises in this workbook immediately. If, however, you purchased both at the same time, you might be better served by alternating, by which I mean working through one unit in the master book (Ashling Wicca, Book Three) and then completing the companion unit in this workbook. The units in both books have consistent titles so you should be able to locate the necessary units easily enough.
All the units within this workbook have the same sections. The first will be a test. There’s nothing quite like having to test your knowledge to find out just how much you have absorbed. The questions in this section are not overly difficult and they’re not designed to trip you up. Most of them are fairly easy, so don’t cheat. Absorb the material, take the test, then go back through the master book to see which questions you still need to work on. Then take the test again. If you still have questions you didn’t get right, repeat the process. You’re not competing against anyone here, so take your time.
One of the most important sections comes next. Most of the Exercises
presented in each unit are designed to help you increase your ability to direct and utilize your own internal energies. This will allow you to perform spells and rituals with greater ease while at the same time making them more effective. Some of these exercises will take much repetition to master, so don’t move on until you’re sure you’ve mastered the skills indicated. Again, this is not a race. There are no prizes for first place.
Sometimes there are questions I need to ask of students to help guide them into a fuller understanding of Ashling Wicca, but these questions aren’t necessarily test-like. A right answer may not exist, or the right answer may be different for each person. These questions are found in the section labelled Journal Entries
. Despite these questions not having a real answer, they’re still vitally important if you want to progress. Don’t skip them and don’t rush yourself.
And then there’s the final section of each unit, the one I have elected to title Reflections
. This section exists solely to help you think through and process some of the more obscure lessons learned in this book. Sometimes you’ll be asked to reflect on the exercises in this book while other times you’ll have to go back to the master book and consider the practical or theoretical lessons presented in Ashling Wicca, Book Three. Either way, I consider this section the most important. It will give you the opportunity to think about Ashling Wicca beyond the pages of these books.
Finally, after working through each section in each unit, you will come to the Appendices at the end of the book. It is vitally important that you ignore the Appendices until you have completed all tests, exercises, journal entries, and reflections presented in this workbook. Only after successfully completing these things will you be ready for the last little bit of knowledge you’ll need before you can perform the Water Degree Initiation. The requirements for a Water Degree Initiate of the Ashling Tradition are clear and concise. They can be met by carefully following the instructions in this book and in Ashling Wicca, Book Three. I’m assuming, of course, that you have performed the Ritual Initiation for Novices (Ashling Wicca, Book One: The Workbook) and the Earth Degree Initiation (Ashling Wicca, Book Two: The Workbook) When you have completed all the requirements listed and have performed the Water Degree Initiation, you will be ready to move on to Appendix B.
Appendix B is full of rituals that the Water Degree Initiate should have no trouble completing, especially if you’ve been working through the previous workbooks and adding the rituals found there to your repertoire. In the first workbook, I gave
