()
About this ebook
The Survival Mom Radio Network includes over a dozen amazing podcasters who are experts in all different areas of preparedness. This short book includes the very best top tips from the Hosts of The Survival Mom Radio Network. But who are they and what do they talk (and podcast and blog) about?
Whether you are interested in healthy living, home & family, homesteading, growing & preserving food, prepping, or survival -- they're all here! The Hosts of the Survival Mom Radio Network are moms just like you and me. They aren’t Navy SEALS or paramilitary specialists. Most of them have learned skills like canning, gardening, and dehydrating food in the last few years.
Each one has their own specific area of interest, although some are similar. For instance, two hosts might both focus on cooking, but one is more interested in farm to table and the other with gluten and allergen free. Every one of them is concerned about their family finances. They are trying hard to make what they have stretch as far as possible. They have found that certain things are healthier, cheaper, and just plain easy to do – once you get started.
Survival Mom hosts are anxious to make sure their families are prepared, even for life’s small, personal emergencies – like Mom getting sick when the larder is bare. Survival Moms aim to make sure there is always enough of the basics so that even in an everyday emergency or worst-case scenario, her family will still eat well, have plenty of water to drink, and keep clean.
Enjoy this e-book, chock full of great tips!

About the Survival Mom Podcast Network
What is a podcast?
Dictionary.com defines a podcast as a digital audio or video file or recording, usually part of a themed series, that can be downloaded from a website to a media player or computer.
A podcast is similar to a weekly radio show on demand. Each host records episodes talking about issues of interest, helping readers learn new skills, answering questions, and interviewing all kinds of people.
Our podcasts are available on our website, www.SurvivalMomRadio.com. You can browse through topics of interest, hosts, and the most recently published episodes. Although we are not currently adding any new episodes, there are over 700 for you to browse through and interviews with people like Mykel Hawke, James Rawles, Kellie Pickler, and well-known authors and authorities in just about every field.
Who are the Survival Mom hosts?
In a word, they are moms just like you and me. They aren’t Navy SEALS or paramilitary specialists. Most of them have learned skills like canning, gardening, and dehydrating food in the last few years.
Each one has their own area of interest. Some are similar, but they all bring their own areas of interest. For instance, two hosts might both focus on cooking, but one is more interested in farm to table and the other might be more concerned with going gluten free and removing allergens from their diet. Some will focus their shows on healthy eating, others are more focused on homesteading (farming, raising animals, and more), gardening, or parenting issues.
All are concerned about their family finances.
Survival Moms aim to make sure there is always enough of the basics so that even in an everyday emergency or worst case scenario, her family will still eat well, have plenty of water to drink, and keep clean.
But most of all, our Survival Mom hosts are here to help you, the listener, think about ways to make your family feel safer and more secure with what you have and can do.
Why Listen to Podcasts? How does listening help me?
Parents, do you really want to listen to the latest children’s music or pop tunes? Really? Isn’t your time better spent learning something new from a podcast?
The Survival Mom Radio Network has its own focus, but there are podcasts on virtually any subject you can imagine, including academic podcasts from top universities. You can pick and choose which subject you are interested in subscribing to. If you subscribe to the Survival Mom Radio Network on iTunes or your smartphone’s podcast player app, then you can pick and choose which shows you happen to be interested in on any given day.
If you listen to podcasts within ear shot, either at home or in the car, then a topic of interest could spark a conversation. How often do you really talk about first aid, cooking skills, or financial planning with your kids? Those are important conversations worth having and podcasts can not only generate interest but information and tips for taking action.
Sometimes listening is easier than finding quiet time to read or focusing on a video. If you don’t catch all the information in a podcast, you can listen to it again later or rewind. But sometimes, just listening provides the motivation you need to get started.
And motivation is priceless.
A Note From Lisa Bedford
It has been my privilege and pleasure to work with the hosts of The Survival Mom Radio Network since it first launched in May, 2013. Only rarely in my life and in my multiple careers have I had the opportunity to spend time with women as talented and professional as this group.
The network is taking a break from adding new shows, but with hundreds of past episodes, there is still a wealth of information, but more importantly, a chance to hear the voices of these women. I hope you’ll continue to listen and enjoy their senses of humor, insights, and personal stories of both triumph and failure.
To my friends, my past and current hosts, thank you for being a part of this network with me.
Lisa
