A native Californian, growing up mostly on the beaches of Southern California. The author overcame multiple family dysfunctions and successfully raised two bright and beautiful children before continuing her education and career. She is technical in all things, examining life as a pass time.Having beat the odds, Ms. Clark believes it is possible for virtually anyone to do the same. It is astounding, the number of people in this world that will justify their bad behaviors with their poor upbringing, or the number of people on this earth that think the world owes them something because they were deprived in childhood. Ms. Clark is living proof that the past does not have to define you. The past has shaped her, taught her, and formed her cognition, but it does not define her. It is her fondest wish to pass this serenity on to the greatest number of people possible, and somehow improve society, even if only a tiny bit.

Acknowledgements
Thank you to Millennials brave enough to look inward and outward to improve their chances for success and appreciation in the workplace.
A special thanks to the many researchers and scientists who took the time to understand generational similarities and differences, and classify the extremities for our use. The tireless effort and dedication put into the field of sociology has been the backbone of successful businesses in the 21st century.
Without question, the most thanks go to my daughter. Without her insight and her openness about what it’s like to be a Millennial in both college and the workplace, this book would not be possible.
Dedication
To my loving and patient daughter who was surely born in the wrong century.
You truly amaze me every day.
Preface
You completed high school! Fantastic! Now, what? If you are thinking about college, that is probably the best idea you have ever had. If you are going to work, or you are going to work your way through college, you need some direction – the kind of unadulterated, uncensored, and non-politically correct advice outlined in this book.
In writing this book, I set out to address a specific audience: people fresh out of high school or college and entering the workforce in 2016 and beyond. The new workforce in 2016 consists of you, a new generation born and raised in the information age. You are smart, tech savvy, and prone to excellent multitasking as well as streamlining processes. You are the generation of people called Millennials, or Nexters, and you’re set to take over the world – ready and eager to take the workplace by storm. With all of your talent and intelligence, do you ever wonder why it is so difficult to navigate the workplace, get promoted, or be taken seriously?
Wonder is great tool but it rarely fixes anything on its own. Too many people simply wonder why they are miserable in their jobs. They wonder why they are always in trouble or being fired. They wonder why they cannot get ahead, get promoted, get a raise, or even get a job. That is a lot of wondering. However, wonder, mixed with reflection and action, will help you over that seemingly impossible hump. Once you take a step back and look at your surroundings and yourself, you understand perspectives of your leaders and how they think. Likewise, the formula leading to workplace success will appear plainly before you. Why not look at the people who did get ahead, were promoted, received raises, or attained those jobs? What do they have that you have not? They were not born with it; science has already proven that.
In this book, I discuss some obvious, and
