    ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

I want to thank my children for their countless support. Their dad, my husband, died in his sleep in 1969. I was alone to raise four children, not an easy chore but now they are all senior citizens themselves and the roles have changed. Now, they take care of their Mama.

I Thank my Lord, who has never left me nor forsaken me. That I have grown to know personally and I can call my Best Friend. I Thank Him for the experiences that He has given me to share, and for the opportunity to do so with the help of my children.

Because with the advancement of technology, I would be lost without them. I did learn to type on the computer but my daughter, Carolyn Richardson-Wells, is the one who makes my expressions look professional. Dexter Clay, who is a publisher, author, and screenplay writer, helps take it to another level, as he has written numerous books and the screenplay for one of them, KatyNation. To my son Carl Clay for his unwavering moral support.

To my six granddaughters: QuinciAnne Wells, Jazmin Richardson Payton, Crystal Holloway, Rayven Adams, Jasmine Clay, and Olivia Clay.

To my great grandchildren: Matthew Wells, Shyniah and Syncere Holloway, Raschaud Buccanan, Kennis Payton, and Jaelah Winston – you all are a special gift to Great Grand.

    PREFACE

This book is about the experiences the author has personally had over the years, sharing with readers things that she and others have encountered; times and things that can only be explained as ‘angelic’ encounters.

She also shares knowledge and references regarding the topics and prayers.

The hope in reading this book is to inspire and empower. And pray that it will bless the reader in the knowledge they are never alone. That God has angels just waiting to minister to them.

    Introduction

The Bible is a book of books telling the story of God. His tool to the way of people coming to know Him. To know His Plan for us. You know the Bible is Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth. A common proclaimed statement that is ‘man wrote the Bible’. Typesetting, printing and binding, man compiled the Bible. But Holy Men of God spoke as they were inspired or moved by the Holy Spirit. I can personally understand the inspiration or move, being a poet. When I am moved to write and read what is written, it has to come from a Higher Source. I knew very well that I could never compose the hundreds of poems and manuscripts on my own. I remember my first published poem, The Hymn Book Prayer. I had just retired to bed after a long hard day; eyes were closed, and ready for some good sleep. Suddenly, I was awakened by the vision of many songs on a sheet of paper with an inspiration to ‘write’. I sat up in bed but I could remember only bits and pieces. I went to my bookshelf and pulled a songbook that I had for decades, and within the hour, the prayer was written. It has been shared a thousand fold – at various times, places, and situations. A talented ten-year-old orator recited it as her talent at the The Apollo in New York.

In the Bible, God tells us about the ‘angels’ He created. Every visible thing in this world is put under the charge of an angel. All angels are under God, surrendering their free will when they were formed. God formed them and gave them the choice of turning to or away from Him. The angels who chose to be against God became demons. Demons are a different breed than the fallen angels.

Angels perform a multiplicity of tasks and duties. Just a few of their tasks: they serve man as guardians, counselors, guides, judges, interpreters, cooks, comforters, matchmakers, gravediggers. They help to strengthen our faith, heal, retrieve lost articles. I do not hesitate to ask God to send the angel over something I have lost, and sure enough when I least imagine, I find it. In addition, I always Thank God and for his lost article angel. Understanding the assistance of angels is an awesome awakening and I truly want to share the excitement with you.

    Chapter 1 - Curiosity

One day while watching television I heard a minister say that our angels are so bored from not having any work to do. That they are ministering spirits, sent forth to minister to them who shall be called heirs of salvation. They are neither male nor female, but they become whatever is chosen to become for the matter at hand. They can become visible or invisible. Hebrews 1:14. His statement stopped me in my tracks because as much as I have read my Bible and I have read about angels, in my mind I associated them mostly with the Bible and Biblical days. I did not dream they were here to help us today - in our day-to-day battles, needs and struggles. My poor angels are surely bored to death from sitting there waiting to help me, even though they have many times unknowingly done so. I have occasionally spoken, Lord, send an angel to help me or one of my children out of a situation or with a problem. But it was more out of faith and desperation than knowledge. And God always did. But nobody wants a job where they are only working once in a while and then sit back until the employee calls them again. I began researching and writing this work at the age of seventy; I tease that I would like a job like that, going on at twelve o’clock, getting off at one and an hour off for lunch. Plus, I want a minimum of $35K a year. Of course, I have not found one like that yet.

I became curious about the minister’s remark and wanted to find out some things for myself about GOD’s angels. So, I decided to get into the Word of God and other references. I have a Strong’s Concordance that is a Godsend when you need to find scriptures, because any word that is in the Bible can be looked up to find the scripture relating to it. I went straight to ‘angel’ and ‘angels. There were 290 references to angels and a couple for archangels. 290 references! Really peaked my interest.
