Introduction

The books of Psalms and Proverbs present two phenomenal statements regarding the believer’s life. The first is found in Psalms 34:19, Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all. The second is found in Proverbs 24:16, For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.

Each of these statements reveal the troubles that believers will face and how it is possible for unforeseen mistakes and failures will come. However, the strength of the second admonition is that the righteous will get up after times of failure and defeat. The Restoration and Recovery Series was developed to bring hope, comfort, and peace to Christians during and after troublesome times in their Christan walk.
