    PROLOGUE

    ––––––––

We’ve got to get Tray, he is hurt!

    Calm down; who is Tray?

How did this happen madam? the stumpy looking cop probed as he flipped out his notepad and started writing.

Tray is hurt!  We must go get him now!

Madam, please calm down; we need you to cooperate with us.

Are we going to sit here and let something happen to Tray? she yelled as she stared wildly at the party of cops and cop cars that surrounded her.  Daylight happened approximately forty five minutes before and she really looked odd wearing a red party dress with red heels, black torn fishnet stockings and complementing makeup that began to wear off.

    She's gorgeous...

"Just keep away from that room, don't open the door to anyone and

    lock your windows – Tight!"

Are you sure about that –cheese burgers at 4:00 am?

I am probably just too tired or maybe it is that I am freaking jealous!

    Come on, for what honey?

Sir you are holding up the line; there are dozens of people behind you who need to be served,  the lanky cashier who wore the blue striped shirt along with a blue bow tie interjected while fixing the yellow polygon shaped hat on her head.

Ok madam, you can keep the change, Tray informed, quickly placing the order (though weird it seemed) before briskly exiting the drive-thru.

So this is how you get them to love you- you find some cheap way to offer them cash?

Come on Kaydie, you are speaking babble, I was just being philanthropic; she really needs to add a few pounds, Tray snapped while adjusting the radio’s ambience as the rhythmic progressions of the popular love song ‘I don’t want to, but I want’ started to ooze from the in-car stereo system.

So you like her, don’t you?

Come on Tray, stop acting like you don’t hear me! Kaydie yelled as Tray focused his eyes on the motorway while both hands suddenly became glued to the padded beige staring wheel.

Tray you like her, don’t you?

    Like who?

Tray don’t kid with me, you know who I am talking!

And who exactly are you referring to?

That whore – Lisa!  That’s who the heck I am talking about!

Kaydie come on, behave yourself, Lisa is just my secretary; we just danced at the party for about two minutes; there could be nothing up with that.

"Tray, I noticed the look on the little urchin’s face when you held her and danced with her.  Tray did you see the way that crab kept looking over at me as if she owns something that
