Billy, It's Time (sequel) - Michael P Buckley

    BILLY, IT’S TIME (SEQUEL)

Winter would not be far off, they prepared the best they could for the hardships, the cold weather would bring. Nanye-hi the daughter of Blue Sky became Billy’s wife. Travis built a small house, as a surprise for Billy. He’d have a place to hang his hat, when he slept at the Cherokee’s camp. Travis and Cindy moved in together and Travis built a small house for them with the help of some carpenters.

They cleared away conifers and moss to make trails through the thick forests and woodlands. They preserved food in cans. Freezers they found in abandoned stores were saved. With all the solar panels, they have plenty of electric to include for the Cherokee.

Sometimes they get a lot of fog, and then the solar panels do not work well. They will have the electrician try to work on a better position, so when they have sunlight their panels will be in the optimum location. Matt and Curtis have done well. They both found new girlfriends from the Cherokee reservation. The days have been passing right along, and it is October already. The morning and nights are starting to get cool and people have started using blankets. Sometimes the winds are very strong here. Everything needs tied down.

The economy has crashed, crime outside of their camps picked up to the point it’s dangerous to leave. They are desperate now. The town’s people use to be afraid of us. Desperation has replaced fear. They have no qualms about killing us now, if they think they can steal something from us.

No one from town is protected, it’s nothing at all to see someone shoot or stab someone else, only to get their wallet. Unified and strong keeps us protected. Soon the attacks on their camps will start up, Billy and Blue Sky is aware of that. Blue Sky has taken people from their camp and everyday they go out and set traps, to help protect their living areas, so when the attacks start, they will be prepared.

Blue Sky has started to teach the young and the woman how to defend their self’s, when the attacks come. They will be able to fend for there self’s better.

They have cut down many trees to set up fighting positions, lucky for us this place is packed full of conifers. It is very hard to sneak up on their camps. Unless they take the road.

Trees are sometimes only inches apart, hard to walk through the woodland without making noise, and alerting the dogs. Travis will go with a few people who have been setting traps, and bring people along to cut trails for the horses. The trail’s are for hunting and patrols. That way they can stay off the main roads.

It is important that whoever use the trails they make, that they have the location of the traps. They do not need an accident with the traps. November is here and they have had a few snow flurries. Some of the Cherokee are saying this is going to be a very cold winter. Travis and the people were working their butts off, cutting trails with chain saws. They will have plenty of firewood that is for sure. Blue Sky sent a small group of his people to guard Travis and his men. They were too busy working to keep and eye out for any trouble, so with the people Blue Sky sent he should be all right to work safely.

Matt and Curtis had to go into town to get some supplies and that is when tragedy, took both of their lives.

Later that day one of the dogs alerted Travis by grabbing his pant leg and pulling him towards the road. What he saw shocked him! Both Matt and Curtis’s body were lying on their road, riddled with bullet holes and their throats were cut.

Blue Sky’s dogs had alerted him, he was standing next to Travis with a tear falling down his cheek. By then both of the girlfriends from Matt and Curtis had arrived, they cuddled them in their arms and began to cry. Travis had his men pick up the bodies from the road and carry them to Blue Sky’s reservation. They will be washed and then have Lavender oil rubbed on their bodies. Cherokee Shaman will give them a Cherokee burial.

Blue Sky said, he has tried to be a peaceful man, but the town will not let
