About this ebook

Professor Daniel Willis is used to being ordered around. A submissive by nature, Daniel needs the strong-handed love and guidance that comes with being dominated. When he gets involved with an abusive dominant he sees no way out.

Tony Bianchi is a dominant in the boardroom, but never considered taking it to the bedroom. After their first meeting Tony knew he wanted Daniel, black-eye and all. Protective of those he holds dear, he isn't about to let anyone hurt Daniel again, even if it means taking on an abuser with a badge.

Carol Lynne

An avid reader for years, one day Carol Lynne decided to write her own brand of erotic romance. While writing her first novel, Branded by Gold, Carol fell in love with the M/M genre. Carol juggles between being a full-time mother and a full-time writer. With well over one hundred releases, one thing is certain, Carol loves to keep busy writing sexy cowboys, shifters, bodyguards, vampires and everything in between. Although series books are her passion, Carol enjoys penning the occasional stand-alone title. As founder and President of GRL Retreat, Inc., Carol helps organize the annual GayRomLit Retreat. Now in its sixth year, GayRomLit is an annual retreat that brings together the people who create and celebrate LGBT romance for a one-of-a-kind, must-attend gathering of dynamic, informal, and diverse fun.

Not a bad story, but the writing was pretty mediocre. A lot of telling instead of showing, unimpressive dialogue, flat characters, and an overall lack of depth anywhere in the story. The character are not really developed very much, and it doesn't seem like their relationships are either. Tony and Daniel's love is charming in its sweetness, but it's lacking in believability because of that very lack of fire and anything other than "dawwwww I love you so much!" in their relationship. The book is not without its merits, but it could have been made better in so many places.

I have read several of Carol Lynne's novels but Broken Pottery is by far one of her most heartbreaking novels yet. The chemistry between Daniel and Tony was refreshing, Tony cared for and loved a shattered and seriously abused Daniel from day one. Although Daniel was a lot of work due to his abuse at the hands of an unidentified attacker and ex, and as a child, Tony stuck through it all.
Tony's character instantly became my hero, and I felt myself tearing up with the pain that Daniel continually felt. The story line was thought provoking and tension filled at times as things finally fell into place concerning Daniel and why he was the way he is, that is until Tony came along and loved him.
