    FOREWORD

This eBook is a technical guide to assist you in the most efficient way to publish an eBook, based on my experience as a best selling aviation author. In early 2009, my book, Squawk 7700, went through a second edition revision and republication. I received an endorsement from US Airways Flight 1549 First Officer, Jeff Skiles, shortly after the renowned event of his flight’s successful ditching on the Hudson River with Captain Sully Sullenberger at the controls. With Jeff Skiles’ endorsement, I was ready to propel Squawk 7700 to the next level, but as an independent publisher I wasn’t sure of the best approach to help my story gain traction.

I had been reading and learning about the new eBook technology that was unfolding at the time. I had serious doubts whether I wanted to reformat Squawk 7700 from its current paperback
