{PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR THE LIST OF MY AVAILABLE E-BOOKS} I've always enjoyed storytelling, ever since I was a child. My love for storytelling has evolved from hand-drawn comic strips, to creating hand-puppets - "Meemies and Fluffies" - for my younger brother and sisters' morning puppet show, to writing stories in longhand in spirals armed with only a Penmate pen while battling a stiff hand and dreaming of a day when I'd finally own a typewriter. Today, in my peaceful Southern California home near the mountains, I can't go a day without my computer and I now enjoy storytelling via my e-books, specializing in mystery, drama, Young Adult and paranormal romance. If you've read one of my books and like them, please leave a review, good or bad, and add me as a favorite author {a single click on a button to your left is all it takes}. Fare Thee Well

Cemetery of the Gate of Heaven, NY

    One month later…

Madelaine’s bags were packed and she was ready to go. She was standing in Audrey’s room, looking out the window for a last look at the lush green garden behind the Hamilton-Dell home. Although the Hamilton-Dells were the nicest people she had met thus far, and they were the first who have opened their home to her as if she were family, she was eager to get back to Freeport and to Mama Macy.

It was late May, the wet season, and it had rained profusely the night before. But the fresh air and sparkling clean flora she was now admiring made her feel a degree of happiness that chased most of the blues away. At least the gloomy weather didn’t have the power to make her more depressed than she’d been feeling ever since the hospital…

She shook her head, trying to shake off that sadness. She had to stop thinking of him. She had to stop thinking of that wonderful night they had shared in the hotel before Bishop Reid took her away and had her face the truth of her foolishness…and changed everything. Mama Macy had told her that there’s no sense in crying over spilled milk. If only that were true.

You’re a fool, she whispered to herself as she raised her head and looked out the window. Her eyes were burning, but she fought back the tears. There’s no sense in crying over something you’ve never had.

It was her last day in New York, but it had been longer than she anticipated. She had extended her stay with the Hamilton-Dell family upon their request, but she was aching to get back to familiar surroundings and the privacy of her own bedroom. Perhaps her pregnancy had made her homesickness and melancholy a little worse, but at the moment she had this deep need to be close to Mama Macy and the children.

She had planned to leave a week after Audrey had awakened. That would have given her enough time to adjust to her new life and the family she met for the first time. But she soon saw how much the little girl needed her since she felt closest to her because of the invisible but strong bond they shared. She understood the little girl’s sense of disorientation completely. This was a whole new world for her and she felt she needed someone she was familiar with to hold her hand until she was ready to venture out on her own. She understood Audrey’s need all too well. She, too, was once an orphan who felt so lost…until she ended up at the Croft home.

    For her, though,
