{PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR THE LIST OF MY AVAILABLE E-BOOKS} I've always enjoyed storytelling, ever since I was a child. My love for storytelling has evolved from hand-drawn comic strips, to creating hand-puppets - "Meemies and Fluffies" - for my younger brother and sisters' morning puppet show, to writing stories in longhand in spirals armed with only a Penmate pen while battling a stiff hand and dreaming of a day when I'd finally own a typewriter. Today, in my peaceful Southern California home near the mountains, I can't go a day without my computer and I now enjoy storytelling via my e-books, specializing in mystery, drama, Young Adult and paranormal romance. If you've read one of my books and like them, please leave a review, good or bad, and add me as a favorite author {a single click on a button to your left is all it takes}. An Unholy Alliance

A nondescript house near Harlem Bridge…

I don’t know what could’ve gone wrong! Melody cried with palms up. She knew that the man standing at the window looking out into the dark snowy night couldn’t see her teary eyes and downtrodden look. She wished he could. Maybe he wouldn’t be so upset with her. At any rate, she was certain he could hear the despair and tears in her voice. I-I was sure he believed I was her. I was sure of it, I swear! But for some reason he knew. He knew almost from the start!

She bent her head into her hands, feeling the condemnation.

The room was dark except for flickering candlelight. Three people were there, but only two seemed to suffer real hopelessness. The one who seemed unfazed by Melody’s weeping was the man in the long black cassock and red skullcap standing by the window. He stood rigid, looking out into the night with hands on his back. Scorn hung thick around him like a thunderous cloud.

James sat on the small sofa across from poor Melody. She was a faithful follower of Bishop Reid, and she had proven her worth many times over the years. He believed the Bishop was being much too harsh on her, and he really felt sorry for her even though he knew she wasn’t the type of girl anyone would normally feel sorry for. Okay, he thought, she made one lousy mistake. It really wasn’t irreparable. She could wait a month or two and try again, this time being more prepared. Surely Bishop Reid could understand that?

James looked from Melody’s dark, lowered head to the rigid back of the clergyman. His own eyes were filled with the same sense of helplessness she was undoubtedly suffering
