About this ebook
So, what sort of a book is this? Is it a work of fiction or non-fiction? Basically, is it for you?
Well, it’s not a novel - not a proper completely made up story that’s for sure.
Some book reviewers have asked:
“Where’s the story? The thread to lock the reader in?”
Well I’ll break it to you gently – there isn’t one. The only thread is the warped transmissions that rattle around inside my skull on a whole host of issues from politicians, to mobile phones, to caravans and a lot more besides.
This is basically a book with some stuff in it. It is largely based on facts and my take on events and occurrences that amuse or irritate. However, some elements might have been slightly elongated to become almost fiction. And there might be the occasional slight exaggeration. In fact, some of it might be complete made up crap. And most names and places have been distorted or changed to protect the innocent or not so innocent.
So, if you are looking for a complex intriguing plot with carefully crafted characters – it’s possibly not for you.
If, however, you have the attention span of an Amazonian gnat and simply want something that you can dip into and out of, in any order that takes your fancy, it could be just what you are looking for.
Warning: not for the faint hearted or anybody who thinks life is in any way real, or to be taken seriously.
“Hilarious ranting and moaning, but always set up within the context of a real and interesting storyline”.
“The world this guy inhabits, many will recognise. But some of his solutions to the key issues of the day might make a few wince”.
“Laugh out loud funny for grumpy old - and not so old - men. A perfect gift for that frustrated male in your life”.
Note this is an Abbreviated version of the Full Book Planet Me containing a total of 10 Chapters 59 pages.
If you happen to be a miserable grumpy old sod like me and you enjoy a good moan; you just never know, it might be for you. MANY THANKS - from PLANET me.

I unfortunately happen to be 52 years old. So I have seen a reasonable amount of stuff and observed how things evolve (or more correctly - go round in circles) over time. I'm really a scientist, with a degree and PhD in Chemistry, who happens to also like painting, design and art and has built a couple of extensions to his house. And invented and patented a weird back cushion that some people want to buy. I have written many scientific papers and technical reports over the years, but to date never anything 'normal' or 'main stream'. That changed in late 2013/early 2014 when I decided to do something a bit different and interesting from my usual day job - and 'Planet Me' became the result. It's not really for the faint hearted, being my own individual take on a range of situations and circumstances that amuse me, hack me off big time, or happen to do both of these things simultaneously. It is original, because there is, thankfully, only one of me. And anybody who manages to stay on message and get to the end of the book will almost certainly thank the lord that that is indeed the case. Probably best read by a species of the non-female variety and only when extremely drunk. STOP PRESS - this last bit is apparently complete boll**ks - ladies like the book as well ! "I knew I was going to agree with everything you said the moment you referred to one's bottom as an "ARSE", as opposed to an ass. Your narrative flows straight from your grumpy brain to my ear and I love it, just love it. I've found myself in complete agreement with you. In fact, we only disagree on one thing so far, and that's your advice that it's not for women. I can't speak for all women but I listen to this kind of stuff everyday, roll my eyes and then promptly leave the room to laugh so as not to let you the man in question know he's right and also funny. Because that would be a disaster. I think this is a work of genius." - Ms Z, Feb 2014.
