“Amazing Grace means” is a study of grace from God’s Word, the Bible.
This study craves to convince lost-going-to-the-lake-of-fire (hell)-Jesus-rejecters that He clearly defined in John 3:18, “...he that believeth not IS condemned already, (why?) because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God” that they are Lost and in desperate need of His Amazing Grace gift of salvation from hell to heaven.

“Amazing Grace means” is a study of how God applies His Amazing Grace to the eternal soul/spirit to give full assurance to every human that chooses to believe in/trust in/exercise faith in Jesus to receive His love gift of eternal spiritual life.

“Amazing Grace means” is a study of how God’s Holy Spirit lives within the spirit of all truly-born-again-children-of-God that Jesus clearly defined in John 3. He assures, guides, instructs, teaches, convicts, chastises and confirms God’s-children.

“Amazing Grace means” is a study of how saved-by-Grace-children-of-God eagerly anticipate the imminent coming of Jesus in the clouds (the Rapture, 1 Thess 4) to call God’s-Children forth the from their graves and into His eternal presence in Paradise, the 3rd heaven.

“Amazing Grace means” studies Paradise, the present residence of God plus the 4th and final New heaven on this cleansed and renovated New earth, the eternal home of all truly-born-again-children-of-God.

“Amazing Grace means” studies how to forgive others because God forgave us.

“Amazing Grace means” is a study of how to live in this wicked world resulting in lost children-of-satan craving to know Jesus as Savior.

“Amazing Grace means,” is a study of God’s salvation plan to give His saving grace to all sin-sick Jesus rejecting unbelievers.

“Amazing Grace means,” is a study of how God’s Holy Spirit deals with the lost to bring them to salvation and the saved to motivate worship and service to the Savior.

“Amazing Grace means,” is a study of how God’s children must forgive all others before God will forgive daily sinS.

From a bare-foot 6 year old Ozark Foothills farm boy who was blessed with a 1st teacher that convinced us that "YOU CAN", to officer of a Memphis bank at age 22, to president of a small town bank at 32, to Senior Lending Officer of a Little Rock bank, to rescuing "failing" small banks. That made for an exciting 46-year career in banking with real estate as a sideline. Operating a one-man real estate brokerage brought joy for 17 years. No college education but constant study through industry related schools, the last at age 62, resulting in the equivalent of a banking degree. Born in the depths of the Great Depression, I am grateful that my very poor small-farm parents were not pro-choice murderers; else, I would not be here since they could ill afford another child. During my early years, mother was the sole caregiver for her mother who was dying an excruciation death with cancer. We had no phone, automobile, running water and luxuries but we cherished God and each other. We were grateful to God for clothing and food (mostly, homemade, home grown or bartered.) Neighbors who had no food or warm clothing were the poor. I did not realize that we qualified as poor until President Johnson defined it in the 1960's. Married at age 18. Remain married to the same sweet lady 70+ years later. Grandpa at 39. GreatGrandpa at 63. GreatGreatGrandpa at 88. At age 13, trusted in/exercised faith in/believed in Jesus to become a truly-born-again-child-of-God like He clearly defined in John 3. After intense conviction by God's Holy Spirit, Jesus saved my inner man, my spirit, when I trusted Him and prayed, "God be merciful to me a sinner." (Luke 16:13b) Baptist deacon over 60 years. Sunday school teacher over 40 years. Student of God's Word for 80+ years. Enjoy sharing how Jesus loved me, pursued me and saved my spirit, my inner-man, making me eager for Him to Rapture God's-children into His presence at any moment. There we will enjoy paradise, the 3rd Heaven, with all of the truly-born-again-children-of-God. Or He may welcome me upon my approaching death. I eagerly await either event. PREFACE to Amazing Grace Means by Guy Humphries

The goal of this study of grace is to convey my understanding of the teaching about what Grace means in God’s Word.

2 KINDS of sin. Notice the capital S on Sin which identifies that one fatal lost-going-to-hell-Sin-of-rejecting-Jesus’ love GIFT of salvation as opposed to the daily transgressions of God’s rules for living and serving Him (sinS) by all truly-born-again-children-of-God. CAPS, Italics AND redundancies are for emphasis. Excerpts are interwoven into commentary. Most scriptures are from the King James translation. Others are identified. Excerpts are interwoven into analysis. You are urged to study each verse in context.

This author does not apologize for redundancy. To drive His point into our memories, Jesus repeated His teachings. I am greatly comforted by the recurring comfort by God’s Word that my eternal spirit will go to paradise, present heaven, when I arrive at my fast approaching physical death.

Grace means two KINDS of forgiveness: Devine and Human. Devine forgiveness results in eternal salvation of the inner-man-of-the-spirit. Genuine human forgiveness is defined as Giving up the resentment I have toward someone along with the right to get even, no matter what they have done.

Grace means that God’s Grace is manifold (has many parts) phrases such as Loving, Convicting, Accepting, Saving, Securing, Working, Serving, Strengthening, Supplying, Satisfying AND Sufficient.

Chapter 1: FINALLY LOST

Preface

Grace means that God gave you free will to choose to remain LOST. The objective of this study is to reveal the LOST condition of the inner-person, the eternal spirit, of every human that chooses to reject Jesus’ love GIFT of salvation. It is essential that every human conclusively understands that their eternal spirit is LOST before they can choose to accept Jesus’ love GIFT of salvation of their eternal soul. God’s Amazing Grace is instantly available to every LOST person.

Most humans despise grace as being a weakness of God. They scorn a God that wants to GIVE them anything, especially salvation, reasoning in their finite minds, that anything so important to their eternal existence must be earned like every THING they possess on this planet. The principal of God GIVING salvation to every human who will accept it is diametrically opposed to human thoughts, reasoning and ways. They want to go to heaven but only on their own terms.

A human spirit can’t be saved against its will, but it can be motivated by the grace operation of the Holy Spirit of God, to be willing. Then, grace which he does not wish to resist, enters into the man, disarms him, makes a new creature of him, and he is saved. C.H. Spurgeon

LOST!!!

Were you ever LOST in the forest then finally finding your way out after God answered your prayer by the sudden appearance of a hunter who saved you from a long, cold, terror filled night deep in the forest. Did you have any problem asking him to save you? Did you have any problem with believing and acting upon his guidance? If you learn from this study that you ARE LOST, please heed the eternal salvation by grace message herein.

If you are a LOST-going-to-hell-Jesus-rejecter that He clearly defined in John 3:18b, …he that believeth not IS condemned already… This is all about you.

Grace says, I am the guide who is trying to help you discover your route to salvation.

To remind them that they WERE LOST, God inspired an address to the saved children-of-God who were members of the church at Ephesus in chapter 2:1-4, And you hath he quickened (made spiritually alive), who were dead (LOST) in trespasses and sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, (doing what comes naturally) according to (satan) the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the (Jesus rejecting) children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the (LOST) children of (God’s) wrath, even as others. The others are the world that is defined as: "humans that have the fatal defect of Sin of which they choose to refuse to repent. They walked, they had their conversation, their way of life, while focusing upon temporal things and ignoring spiritual things. Instead of thinking about spiritual things, the LOST only try to forget who they are, children-of-satan.

The LOST concentrate upon their lusts, fulfilling the desires of the flesh, desires that can never be fully and permanently satisfied. Dreaming about things then concocting a way to satisfy desires. When needs are supplied, that is never enough to satisfy wants.

Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, by grace ye are saved. Eph 2:5

Grace means that believers hath been quickened. God saved their eternal spirits. He GAVE them spiritual life, by grace ye are saved, made them alive to Him, even though their spiritual inner man was by nature dead in trespasses and sins, LOST. Before trusting Jesus and receiving His love GIFT of salvation, they were LOST-going-to-hell-Jesus-rejecters that He so clearly described in John 3:18b …he that believeth not IS condemned already…

Grace means that God is primarily a merciful God else why would He sacrificed His only begotten Son on the cross to make a way for the LOST to get saved. Devine mercy is God’s disposition to forgive when there is NO REASON to do so.

That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of His grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the GIFT of God. Not of works, lest any man should boast. Eph 2:7-9 How does the LOST obtain salvation? They are …by grace are ye saved through faith…

Grace means it is by it that we are GIVEN salvation, ye ARE saved through faith plus nothing. Grace to those who choose to accept it, provides salvation and makes it possible. Faith plus nothing, is the means by which the GIFT of God, eternal salvation, is received.

What does it mean to BELIEVE, TRUST, HAVE FAITH?

An apartment building was engulfed in flames, much like hell. There seemed to be no escape. A beautiful three years old girl stood terrified on a 3rd floor window ledge as firemen begged her to jump into their arms. Fear that they would not catch her overrode her fear of the fire. Then her Daddy arrived and said, I love you, baby. I want to save you. You believe that I will catch you. Now trust me and jump. She believed her father. She trusted him to catch her. In faith (belief in action), she jumped into her Daddy’s arms and was saved from the flames.

Salvation comes NOT from head belief (knowledge) about Jesus but from trust IN Him by taking that leap of faith into His waiting arms.

Grace means that salvation is not of yourselves, Not of works. When the LOST are determined to EARN salvation of their eternal spirits, that part of man that separates humans from animals, they are reminded by Jesus This is the WORK OF GOD, that ye believe on Him whom He hath sent. GOD has done the WORK of sacrificing Jesus on the cross. All the LOST are required to do is trust in/exercise faith in/believe in Him.

Grace means that truly-born-again-children-of-God are passionate about doing good works to constantly demonstrate to all of the LOST that they ARE saved and to obey God’s instructions in His-word expecting to earn a reward at the end-time judgment seat of Christ.

Do you feel a gnawing sense of doubt about where your eternal spirit will go when it leaves your body. That is God’s Holy Spirit trying to DRAW, attract, encourage you to choose to accept His GIFT of salvation. In John 6:44, Jesus said, No one can come to Me unless the Father Who sent Me DRAWS Him, and I will raise Him up at (Rapture) the last day.

In Luke 24:40b-41a, Jesus …showed them His hands and feet. While yet they believed not… that He was really resurrected. In verse 45, Then He opened He their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures that He had been teaching them for about three years. The disciples believed not so Jesus had to prove that He was actually the crucified Savior by showing them His hands and feet. Having convinced them that He was their Savior, then opened He their understanding. Finally, they got it.

Grace means that every LOST human must hear and understand that portion of God’s Word that defines them as LOST. God’s Holy Spirit must convict their inner-man-of-the-spirit of their lost-going-to-the-lake-of-fire condition then draw them toward the saving
