About this ebook

Exit Apocalypse-2, is the second of four serials based on the full length Novel, The Exit, of the Blue Moon Chronicles, by Todd Boddy.

The 'Blue Moon Chronicles’ Novels are an apocalyptic saga, narrated by Shem, a mysterious Elder from the Blue Moon of Siyon, ancient home of the angels.
Monitoring technological breakthroughs in human wormhole technology, a desperate insurgency of darkened powers has given up hope on the overthrow of the “local sovereign entity.”
Instead; they plan an escape from their Earth bound captivity and future judgment.

Secretly fronting the insurgency, a father and his beautiful daughter, both of powerful Nephilim heritage, develop the Sanctuary Corporation to build and market worldwide jump stations. They must lure the humans, (“image bearers”), to voluntarily host and transport these fallen sentinels to a far distant universe to a new home and god who promises to restore them to their original luster.

However, not without opposition, an ancient Wind of Light improvises a plan to fight the unforeseen rising tide of darkness. It all begins with a trip to the exotic world of the Blue Moon of Siyon, the primordial abode of the Angels, where all is not well.

Todd Boddy

Todd comes from a military family who settled down in South side of Austin TX in the 70's. It was an exciting time, a great place to grow up and stretch the imagination in what was developing as America's 'Third Coast', playing youth sports in S.Austin and skiing with friends on Lake Austin & Travis. He now resides outside Princeton TX in a semi-rural area close to Lake Lavon with nearby cotton, hay, and okra fields, cattle and horses, which he admires, but admits he'd rather be playing golf. He and his wife Loretta have between them four children, four grandchildren and two dogs.Todd attended the University of Texas at Austin, BA in Psy, minor Ancient Gk, and then Dallas Theological Seminary, ThM with emphasis on world religions. Never one to be pigeon holed he has enjoyed work as a framer, baseball umpire, landscaper, youth pastor, Sr. Pastor, financial consultant, missions coordinator and dog park minister, and now author. He delivered his first sermon at age seventeen and has written many short stories, dramas, and newspaper articles. Todd currently pastors a small rural TX church where he splits his time writing. His new Blue Moon Chronicle series, beginning with The Exit, is the culmination of his interests in exploring questions resulting from the cross roads of science, technology, spirituality, apocalyptic themes, and faith. Volume II in the BMC series, Two Suns Rising, will be out in March 2014.The great golf instructor/philosopher, Harvey Pinick quipped "if you play golf, you are my friend." These are analogous words to building bridges with strangers about something you love. Todd hopes his books accomplish this and entertain along the way

    Chapter 1

For is it not to angels he subjected the future world, about which we speak.--Hebrews 2:5

As Lucas was sucked into the vortex of the beyond, Victoria forced a smile as she raised the energy level to the mean threshold for the jump. Peering through his airtight visor, he saw her head whip around at something behind her. Victoria disappeared as the darkness engulfed his view. This was a knee-jerk decision mixed with apprehension for leaving her behind and hope for answers on the other side.

So this is what the netherworld of the cosmos is like? Lucas’ thoughts were magnified by the sensory deprivation. Stillness, complete darkness, no weight or reference for my equilibrium. What if this was the wrong juncture, or my gut instinct just led me into absolute nothing?

At age twelve, Lucas began thinking about absolute nothing in his cerebral attempt to find God. It always ended the same way: he’d lie in his bed pondering until his imagination reached the terminal edge of creation, and then go to sleep. He wondered now if this was the proverbial hell, or perhaps nirvana.

All right, quit the esoteric philosophy, turn on the camera and voice recorder. Be calm, relax, breathe regular, deep. Hold the breath in, purse the lips, slowly let it out. Switch on my helmet lamp. Good, the body parts are still with me: gloved hands, fingers moving, legs, boots. Still nothing beyond my immediate view. How’s Vic doing? She probably won’t receive anything but a slap on the wrist. What she knows is too valuable.

Reviewing his heads-up display, All systems are functioning properly. Blood pressure high, 145/92, understandable given the circumstances. Definitely feeling some gravitational acceleration, like the initial first drop of the roller coaster. Need to get turned around. I hate going backwards on thrill rides, makes me nauseated. There, a distant light and growing larger, a ring of fire at the end of this portal. Lucas’ commentary paused as he rushed toward his destiny.

Woo! Woo-hoo! I’ve come through the void! Ahh, Victoria, I am still conscious. The view is stupendous. The star formations and nebulae, absolutely beautiful. Oh, let me catch my breath and figure out my bearings. I am obviously in another section of the universe. Off to my right, intersecting pin wheel galaxies with a black hole center. The violence, the power, unprecedented view. There, below my feet ... the planet and moon of my dreams?

He floated a few more moments in silent wonder where his imagination and experience united, then resumed his report, But, where is the star for this system? I can’t find it. They shouldn’t exist as spheres, or spin without the gravity of a nearby star, not by themselves? Ahhhh, a new worry Vic, looks like they are moving toward me. The dream--just like in my dream, except I didn't get bowled over by a pair of flying rogue planets, drifting alone through space. This is strange. The golden planet is glowing without any reflective light. Where is the source? Its radiant light is penetrating my suit. Feels warm, feels wonderful! Today will be a good day to die even if I don’t figure something out quick. Hope you get all this.

That can't be, apparently this euphoria is giving me a flash back to my upstairs bedroom back in Cleveland. There I am, the little guy falling asleep. I must be two years old. My parents must be in their early twenties, young and strong. Mom is so lovely. She is putting my stuffed bear, Boo, next to my pillow and they both are giving me a kiss, tucking me in to my baseball print sheets. They don’t notice me behind them, ‘mom, dad, it's me’--they're praying,--now leaving the room--fading, ‘don't go!’

After a few deep breaths Lucas resumed, We are alone now, me and this vision of my younger self. I am walking over to the bed and putting my hand on this little man’s forehead. I can feel him! He is warm. Oh my, his eyes just opened, they are searching the room. I am freaking out here Vic. I can look through his eyes. He sees me! He’s frightened, screaming! I jerk back my hand, close my eyes … wait … he’s gone … what was that … what happened to me? I think I need oxygen or something… let me breathe a minute...

Sorry, I’m back drifting in an apparent alternate universe again. This is wild. The planet and moon are still advancing toward me. The space around me continues to spark with other wormhole entries. That’s my best guess and yes, for good reason. I see other humanoids moving toward the golden planet. Victoria you won't believe this--they have no protective suits on. One just waved at me, and there, another one above me with no clothes on at all. Some appear calm, others are flailing their limbs in a panic? This must be a known destination, who else has this technology? Maybe I should take off my helmet. If this doesn't kill me, then falling into orbit surely will. Maybe I am expected? Wait, I hear a voice. Can you hear that?

Lucas, keep your helmet on! I am moving you before you incinerate.

Who said that? Where is the voice?

Lucas, be calm, steady, I mean you no harm.

"Something has just grabbed my arms? Ahhhhhhhh--Vic! the Methuselah.
