After my first crazy encounter with Mr. Davis, I decided that enough was enough. He was my neighbour, after all. What was I thinking, following him to that secret club and letting him use me after, anyway?

I told myself I wouldn’t go back to him. Things between us quickly resumed their normal neighbourly ways, and that’s what I told myself I wanted.

The stream of women hadn’t stopped since I had ‘visited’ his house, and I suppose I should have expected that.
