    The Moon Unit

All eyes stared intently at the wall-sized plasma screens in the Command Center. Rows of men and women in various uniforms watched as six shadowy figures jogged through the desert night as white blobs on black sand. The satellite view of the operation was the closest anyone in the command center could get to the nightly black-ops that took place around the world. In a control booth behind the gathered crowd a man sequestered in a glass partition calmly described the events in a monotone, military-patois.

    We-are-five-minutes-to-target. All-satellite-feeds-and-surveillance-indicate-stealth-integrity-has-been-maintained.

In the back of the Command Center a door opened allowing a bright path of light to fill the room. Many of the officers looked back with impatience and quickly nodded at the figure in silhouette against the light. Some stood and saluted as Secretary Lycan closed the door and approached the group watching the screen. He casually returned the salutes and stood with pride as he watched the six figures on the big screen. He looked to the officer behind the glass.

    What's our status, Captain?

    Team-is-approaching-the-target-and-we're-less-than-four minutes-to-engagement.

The Secretary was an imposing figure. He was 6 foot 6 and his grey hair flowed like waves across his head. He walked behind the General and put his hand on the General’s shoulder. That's good. The Secretary said. "We've been tracking
