    Keep It Chic and Cheap - Jessica Burkhart

    @JESSICABURKHART’S TIPS

    My fave room accessories are bold, bright colors. I’m obsessed with anything pink, shiny, and glittery. My living room has two pops of pink with a baby pink sofa and a hot pink bulletin board. I painted all my wooden furniture including my desk, book cases, and TV stand with silver glitter paint. Photos painted by local Brooklyn artists hang above my reading area. Almost a dozen candles in frosted votive holders offer a sweet scent, warm light, and cozy feeling.

    TIP 1: USE SCOTCH INDOOR MOUNTING SQUARES INSTEAD OF NAILS TO PUT POSTERS AND PHOTOS ON YOUR WALL.

    I love hanging posters, but my landlord would get upset if I put too many holes in the walls. Luckily, Scotch Indoor Mounting Squares exist! These little babies can hold up to two pounds, so they provide more than enough stick and hold for posters with one in each corner. If I decide to switch out posters, the squares peel right off the wall.  So, instead, I use these sticky squares--one in each corner--to hang posters on my walls. Scotch has many variations on their indoor brand--there are tapes ranging from heavy duty (holds five pounds) to light (holds under one pound.) Find the right Scotch product for you and get hanging!

    TIP 2: COVER AN OLD SHOE BOX WITH PRETTY WRAPPING PAPER OR USE A VS PINK BOX TO HOLD NAIL POLISH.

    Victoria’s Secret Pink is one of my fave lines for shopping! During the holidays, Pink packages
