Introduction

I first began taking an interest in the names and titles of God during a difficult time in my life when I desperately needed to be assured of God’s impeccable character. I wanted to know, deep within my heart, that He is as wonderful as I had hoped and believed.

As I searched my Bible in pursuit of knowing Him, I realized that, as much as I was longing to understand His nature, He was even more eager to show Himself to me. And, I began to notice that one of the primary ways He reveals Himself to us is through the names by which He describes Himself in His Word.

Over time, I collected these names in alphabetical order on a page at my website. To my surprise, several people contacted me, asking, Do you have these in booklet form? That is how this small book was born.

The Names of God can be used in many ways. Studying and meditating on the names will increase your understanding of His character, build your faith, and expand your capacity for praise and worship.
