    MORE THAN WORDS

I wish I could give you flowers

    each and every day.

    And tell you

    how much I love you

but the words get in the way.

It's difficult to put into words

how much you mean to me.

    I could call you Sweetheart

    and phrases just as sweet...

    But they are only words

and you mean more than words to me.

    GOD AND APPLE PIE

She won't win any beauty contests

    looking through someone else's eyes

but she's everything I could ever hope for

    looking through mine.

She's the air that I breathe

    the ground beneath my feet.

    An award winning smile

    and lips so sweet.

I could look across the breakfast table

'til the Lord calls me home.

    I'll be hers forever

    and never more roam.

    When I have her

    I'll have the American Dream.

    Like God and apple pie

    she's all I'll ever need.

    THE DEMONS INSIDE

    We all have demons

    but they're buried

    deep inside our being.

    I don't know why

but many are not buried as deeply

    as they should be.

    Demons have surfaced

    in many different places...

    In schools

    in churches

    in post offices

    and many other public places.

    We have forgotten

    how to control our demons.

    THE SIVER LINING

Though I don't like pain and suffering

    I'm thankful for the maladies

that have happened in my life.

They help me appreciate the good times

    all the more.

    Pronunciation Key - 'mal'-(like pal)-uh-dees.

Maladies - any disorder or disease of the body,

esp. one that is chronic or deep seated.
