Introduction
This story is stranger and deeper than fiction. Please be warned, when taken as a serious factual account, it is frightening and unsettling. It is not fiction. Tales of fiction are imaginations; in fiction the experience is kept at a safe distance. Far more disturbing are the real life monsters which we all must face in person. In real life there are no ‘pat’ endings and there are no safety nets to protect us from deadly terrors. It would be a travesty to read this account as fiction for entertainment purposes. Some writers exaggerate and overstate in order to create an effect, this account is actually understated. Brian’s Search represents the genuine truth as best it can be told.
Researchers indicate that the vast majority of the population have experienced something similar to what lies ahead. These are actual events that defy common assumptions about science and reality. This account is only one among many, but I am convinced that the elements reverberate in all our hearts. We sense it is accurate, we often have evidence that makes denial difficult. There is something more about life than what we experience on a simple physical level. When we look at life in a limited way we barely know how to figure it out.
